Just in case anyone is interested, former reserve Mag Jeff Henderson won the League of Ireland championship with Sligo Rovers last weekend.

He played for the first 54 minutes in a last gasp 3-2 home win over their nearest challengers, St Patrick's Athletic.

Good for him, always like to see former players do well, so long as don't hinder our own success. I'm looking at you Abdoulaye Faye!

Anyone know what Mark Doninger is upto?

As with many on the Newcastle release list he had a brief spell with Blyth Spartans before heading to Ireland. Really liked him in the green and white, hope he's making a name for himself over there!

He signed for Stoke City.[11] Coincidentally, on the same day another Senegalese international and former Newcastle United player named Faye also signed for Stoke City, central defender Abdoulaye Diagne-Faye (commonly shortened to "Abdoulaye Faye" in the Premier League).

Over time, I had forgotten that we had an Abdoulaye Faye. I only remembered Amdy Faye playing for us, but now the truth is told.
