Now we are 10 games into the season and have seen enough of the new signings to have an idea if they was worth it

Ritchie De Laet- He looks very good going forward, reminds me of Kyle Naughton at times, at times he has been caught out defensively but all round an improvement on Peltier. The only real downside he seems to keep getting niggling injuries

Matty James- He looks a very steady performer. He doesnt set the world alight but he does a very good job for the team defensively and unsurprisingly he works very well with Danny Drinkwater having come through the Man U academy together. The return to form of Andy King has only stopped him from making the shirt his own along with Drinkwater

Jamie Vardy- He has had a decent start with 4 goals already and 2 wrongfully disallowed. Yes he has a few rough edges which is expected having come from non league. He contributes alot more to the team then Jermaine Beckford did. Vardy will improve as the season goes on and he gets used to the divison

Marko Futacs- Not really seen alot of him. He scored a great goal against Burton buts that about it

Zak Whitbread- He was short of match fitness at the start and once he did get fit the form on Liam Moore and Sean St. Ledger kept him out the team. He should get his chance now with St. Ledger getting injured.

Anthony Knockaert- What a find by Steve Walsh. Like Vardy he has a few rough edges but over time Nigel will turn him into more of a complete player. He wont go the whole season playing every week as one every so often Nigel will have to manage him and pull him out of the fire. He is the most skillful player to play in this league since Adel Taarabt for QPR.

The total spent by Nigel is rumoured to be around 5-6M but we managed to re coup alot of that by selling Matt Mills, Sol Bamba, Lee Peltier and getting other high earners off the books.

Nigel has shown you dont need to go mad like Sven did and Nigel as ever has brought very wisely.

Can't argue with much ... if perhaps a little too early to label Knockaert as 'the most skilful ... since Adel Taarabt' .. I haven't seen enough of the other teams yet to make such a bold claim ..

Not bad when you can have two Steve Walsh's associated with our club

Think De Laet will suffer with Knockeart playing a free role, he looked very exposed against Hull, but i guess that kind of sacrifice has to be made if we need the goals.

Agree with all the above. It did worry me that we seemed to have done all our business very early in the peace and other clubs continued to pick up very good players and still are on loan deals. However, can't argue with second in the league
