Just what is has to do with the President of the Croatian Football Federation is anybody's guess, but his stint at the Bernabeu may have something to do with it.
Perhaps he's looking to limit his countryman's chances of getting into the Madrid first XI even further, so that he's well rested for international ties?
You'd think that he'd have better things to do with his time, given the relative importance of his job title.

Real are well known for this kind of tapping up. Usually, they get La Marca to do their dirty work for them. But, I suppose everybody is aware of that one now, so it looks like they are trying to come at it from a different angle.
