DEADLINE: 2 A.M. FRIDAY 12 OCTOBER

please log in to view this image ROUND 16 please log in to view this image KOREA please log in to view this image

RULES Choose your driver pairing(s) before the deadline. 1. Choose a tier (your first is free) 2. Choose your '+' driver from that tier 3. Choose a '–' driver from the same tier 4. Players from round 15 who do not pick a new driver pairing or buy any add-ons will have their choices from Japan carried over to Korea 5. The points scored by your '–' driver will be subtracted from the points scored by your '+' driver to give you your score for the race 6. If you have enough points you may use them to 'buy' a second tier (20 pts each) 6b. If you have more than enough points you may use them to 'buy' a rather smart points booster (see Add-ons thread for info)

TIERS Tier 1 Red Bull: Vettel / Webber McLaren: Button / Hamilton Ferrari: Alonso / Massa Tier 2 Lotus: Raikkonen / Grosjean Mercedes: Schumacher / Rosberg Sauber: Kobayashi / Perez Tier 3 Force India: di Resta / Hulkenberg Williams: Maldonado / Senna Toro Rosso: Ricciardo / Vergne Tier 4 Marussia: Glock / Pic Caterham: Kovalainen / Petrov HRT: de la Rosa / Karthikeyan

RATHER SMART POINTS BOOSTERS please log in to view this image

CURRENT SELECTIONS (for Korean GP): please log in to view this image Black member names indicate driver pairings carried over from previous race. ✻ indicates driver pairings that will qualify for Drudeboy's Wheel-to-Wheel Battle. 'Qualifying' points allocations take post-qualifying penalties into account and are therefore based on race start positions. For example, if Massa qualifies in 4th place but receives a five place grid penalty then points will be allocated based on his race start position of 9th. There is therefore a double hit for drivers who receive a penalty resulting from a stewards inquiry. Time penalties: 2 points docked from score and potentially a lower race finish. Grid penalties: 3 points docked from score at current race and a grid drop at the following race. +Kimi -Grosjean With a Ferrari engine please I suppose that if the rumours are true and Kovalainen replace Grosjean, i'll have him?
OK, chaps - all done. Fred - yes that's correct. I can't see any other way of maintaining the tiers. If Kovalainen were to replace Grosjean in Korea then everyone who selected Grosjean will have him replaced with Kovalainen and everyone who selected Kovalainen will have him replaced with who drives in his stead in the Caterham. Be sure to check back before the deadline to amend your selection if this should happen.
As I understand it, Grosjean will be racing this weekend. No doubt this will make things easier for Genji and all concerned with the drivers he mentions. I'd like to revert to… +Kovalainen -Karthikeyan, with KERS please. And without a second pairing this weekend. Thanks, Gj.
Dependent on best overtake from BrightLampShade's Sportydan's Kack Korea Awards, the joint winners (i.e. sharing the top step of the metaphorical rostrum, not being awarded that specific prize) are: F R E D ! & K Y L E ? please log in to view this image Scores: please log in to view this image Driver breakdown: please log in to view this image Provisional standings after Korean GP: please log in to view this image
Genji… Either this is a mammoth slog or you have tuned your spreadsheets extremely well – or more likely: both! – Great work.
Gap reduced to 84 points, but with Hulkenberg getting the best overtake it should be down to 79 (I think). Still, I'd have to outscore Cosi by more than 25 per race. Not likely
