what do you plan to on the morning of the game then chaps?

I'll go for a run first thing, followed by a walk to the pub for 11 along the same route I take for every away derby... Superstition plays a big part for me.

Going to Bubbles, will be surrounded by Mags, I will be the only Sunderland supporter in the place, but no problem at all, I know most folks in the place. Win lose or draw, we will have a good afternoon.

Get, up have a strong cuppa coffee. Spend time with the bairn then off to town for a few pre match pints. Walk over to the ground have one pint then take to my seat.

I know not everyone is but I love the nervous energy before a derby. feels like a boxer just about to make the walk to the ring

I'l be in a bar in town from early morning with my eldest son where We will both down a few pints to calm the nerves and lubricate our vocal chords. My youngest son who is playing rugby for Sunderland youngens against Ryton with an early morning kick off, will be dropped off by our lass at about 11:30. Once together we will decide what time we go to the ground, which is usually a bit earlier than we normally would, so we can soak up the atmosphere.
    Bring it on!!!

Our local in Consett get's yards of Ale in and as the pub is split 30% SAFC and 70% NUFC the losing team has to nominate several lads to nail a yard as a forfeit. it gets very messy indeed...

I will be coming down from Scotland the night before the game and staying with a mate in Consett - so its out on the pull in Consett on Saturday night before the match.
Up earlyish on Sunday - probably with a hangover and no STD!!!
Heading for The Isis in Sunderland as soon as I can get there - for plenty of beer - then off fof a bit of CRAA bating on the way to the ground - Ha Ha!!!

Hopefully will be celebrating after the game, and another hangover on Monday before the drive back to Scotland!!!

Breakfast at one of me mates, over to a boozer in Whitley bay for the bus, then be joining the convoy and head for your ground. Can't wait.

I'll have some breakfast with my daugther, chill out watching some TV until my parents come up to watch the game and babysit, then I will drive over to Sunderland with the lads and get ready for the game.

I am neither tense, concerned or worried tbh. Not that I think we are going to win easily or anything, just I dont have the foreboding I had when Bruce was in charge of these events. I'm very clam about Sunday and feel we have a team good enough to win but knowing our history in this fixture (at home) I dont expect anything.

Just very confident we will show up as a team and as fans and give it a go.

I feel the same. Not giving it too much thought at the minute though. Once the Saturday games start kicking off though I'm sure my feelings will change.
