    Good man. Syria is in the unfortunate position of being in the way of Qatar and Turkey's planned European natural gas pipeline. And are in the way of Israel getting to Iran. A lot of competing regional forces wanting their own puppet in charge of the country. Meanwhile al Qaeda make hay

    I'm not aware of the specific details of the case but cannot imagine murder charges being brought lightly. However, to have filmed the incident is bloody ridiculous as you're never going to be able to explain it away if the evidence you're really in the wrong.

    If they are guilty of murder they should have the book thrown at them - we can't go round claiming the moral high ground every time and not apply justice where appropriate to our own combatants.

    It has been reported the guy who got shot was an insurgent, so that might go some way to explaining how he got shot. With some of the things that have been happening over there this hardly comes as a surprise.

    To be fair, playing by the rules is never going to work against these nutters. Either withdraw, or fight dirty. There's no other way.
