Alright lads. Just wanted to say what a fantastic price tickets are for Newcastle games especially compared to (my club Arsenal). £11 to watch Newcastle-Norwich was great value.

    I've got two questions

    1) Do you think Newcastle can repeat last seasons exploits and finish in the top 5/6 of the prem this year

    2) What are your opinions on Mike Ashley now. I'm of the opinion that ultimately he has been good for the club after a shaky start. One of my Newcastle friends believes that much of Newcastles current status is doen to Graham Carr and Pardiola. Can any credit be given to Ashley?

Some people are being really negative.

I reckon we can finish in the top 6. We've played **** and picked up a decent number of points. Spurs and Everton have had to work for theres.

Everton wont go a whole season playing like this I reckon, plus Fellaini is injured.

I'd say we'll end up in the Top8 but I'm not sure where.

From a business point of view Ashley's management of the club has been masterful. He stinks at PR but has learned we don't want to see him 'being one of the lads'. Getting money to name SJP SJP was fiendish, getting some free advertising in the process.

Once you accept he's not a football fan and that Sports Direct is his priority you begin to appreciate that he's arguably one of the best owners around. He couldn't give a **** about us as fans but NUFC as a company, he will secure and grow the brand.

By the way this poster! there is enough room for at least another 5 letters in the title field.

I think Newcastle can aim for top six this year. I'm really impressed with the transfer dealings over the last couple of seasons. Reminds me of Wenger in his prime. Ben Arfa was got at a snip, Tiote and Cabeye could both play Champions League football and Cisse and Ba have obviously been very impressive. Bigirimana and Anita will also be quality once they are fully settled in.

I think you are as strong as Tottenham this year (Although obviously I am biased) and have more depth than Everton.

    1. Not this year but our future seems bright and we'll plod on.
    2. The same really, as a person he's seems to be a bit of a bastard but as an owner he's doing quite well of late. Still manages too pull something out of the bag that pisses us off but weighing everything up there's much more to be upbeat about.
