If we are in the relegation zone come the transfer window (likely) I can see TF not wanting to spend any more money and bringing back Joey being the only new option available to the probably new manager. I know it's different but Clint Hill was POY and was at Notts forest this time last year.
Hold on. I went to the last five home games last season and his performances were part of the reason we stayed up. I watched him carefully and he really put a shift in a d drove the team. I think it is important to divorce his personality from his footballing ability. I'm not saying we need him back just what I observed.
I'd tend to agree John. However look at the massive improvement in team spirit since he left we wouldn't want to ruin that would we!!
One thing you can't label him as is a hider. However much the chips were down for him or the team he always wanted to be involved which can't be said for a lot of players.
What improvement? A couple of days after the man city incident, Barton was out with the lads celebrating staying up! So where is the evidence that he split the dressing room and upset everyone? The only person that seemed to not get on with him was MH........
No problem mate. I don't think Hughes himself, knows his best team or system, he has to find a way to get both those in the team though. Surely?
The only thing we miss about Barton is his leadership....or Captain like skills......apart from that his passing was woeful. Saying that I'd rather him on the pitch captaining the team than Park.

Surely?[/QUOTE] You are spot on with both points there mate. And therein lies the problem. And if we keep getting different players injured every week, we may never know our best 11. I'm a Hughes in man, but he has made many mistakes in his tenure here. I shouted myself hoarse on here saying we needed at least one more striker, at least under 30. And a dominant CB who can win a header. And surely mackie deserves a few games on the right. SWP, through all his effort, hasn't done anything since before he moved to Chelsea all those years ago!! But I still believe the club has too much invested in the Hughes philosophy to sack him before next summer......
Yes, we miss him. He is ,with all his shortage as a player, a fighter on the pitch. We dont have those in our team and because of that we are bottom of the league. We have enough skill to survive but the grit is missing. In addition to that we will be without M'bia, Diakite, Traore and Taarabt in january so welcome back Joey B.
Indeed, how did he do in that match he played at Marseille? Park's English is very poor considering how long he's been here, bad choice as captain.
Thanks for the link Seems like France is having a positive influence, yellow not a red card. I'm impressed by Joey's progress.
