Not sure how the figures quoted for Housing damage/undamaged were ascertained but I can definitely tell you that there was little damage in the West Hull area to houses.Churches and Waterworks buildings were a definite eyesore for many many years and outside every damaged church there was a sign denoting the amounts donated/collected for restitution.Sadly many of the churches were never rebuilt and became a blot on the landscape for decades.
