New Site Guidelines

Nope not at all I go with the result ... no fixing talk here. People forget I respect the mods... I have stated my issues about the new regs. I will however publish that i have a direct PM accusing you of being in a collaboration to oust a poster. It is with these reasons that I have taken my position.

 

A for me. Being a mod is kinda like being a ref, somebody has to do it and whilst you may not agree with some of the decisions they make, they get it right most of the time

 

Publish it on here, so that I can refute it. I have never done such a thing, and if you are able to be honest with yourself, you don't believe I did either.

If someone PM's untrue accusations about me (and why the hell they send them to you I do not know) then unmask them so that we all know who they are.

Unless, of course, they made it up, and don't want to be exposed. Or maybe you're making it up yourself.

Either way - out with it...

 

DT, it is a little inconsistent to talk about people deliberately trying to oust a poster when that poster has inadvertently ousted a few in his time and caused a load more to question their presence on here.

That was the fragile dilemma that the mods had to deal with.

Don't get me wrong, I like Swords but even he would probably admit that his ban was fair (all things considered).

Also, your idea of being thick skinned is great in principle but assumes no one has history or memory of awful things and sees similarities in meaning on here.

Some people are just sensitive. We revel in this forum's diversity of opinion, so surely it would be hypocritical to expect everyone to have identical moral thresholds.

And I can confirm that I've never PM'd anyone in anger but just think that understanding our differences is the best chance we have of keeping the board interesting and prosperous.

 

I will add that currently the biggest topic to scare people away is the negativity surrounding the club's predicament.

Understandable but unrelenting. You Dave, more than most, are noticeably trying to do your bit to redress the balance.

Keep it up (I'm trying to do my bit too).

Agree with Beth and SR. You're a good man Imaz and if you're right about Swords then he'll bring about his own downfall.

His repeated attempts to fit in show he wants to be here but he will HAVE to be good this time.

Put him on ignore (you two will never get on I suspect) and we'll see what he's made of.

Recent posts seem to miss the point that this poll/thread is about a revised set of rules for EVERYONE, not just Swords. If Imaz doesn't like Swords and can't use the ignore function that's his problem. I for one hope that both can coexist peacefully. Both bring different things to this place which enhance my enjoyment, be sad to see either go. Neither has to if they exercise self restraint and respect.

'A' fir me guys - u do a great job, which I wouldn't want, or have the time, to do. U are unappreciated by many, as we don't see what goes on when u get complaints, but I'm sure u could do without the hassle. Keep up the good work!

When is Swords going to be released from his state of purgatory anyway? Bad luck for him that he doesn't have a "get out of jail free" card in his possession. Will he get to vote in this poll? Quite frankly I've never had too many problems with his general banter, even if a few barbs were sometimes directed towards me during our discussions on this forum. I guess I'm not that thin skinned.
