    Good post, Nuts.

As one of the targets at least I don't feel paranoid anymore about posting here. In my honest opinion anyone who trolled in the unpleasant way Swords did isn't right in the head. It was like kids pulling wings off insects but in a sicker adolescent way.

    Thank you for your intervention.

    Cheers SR.

NUTS post above and the landslide victory for the mods new rules (which are nothing more than formalising their very reasoned approach) has, I believe, given me a bit of insight into this whole thing.

Firstly, it all came about from being asked about Swords. We all merrily went on our way posting our thoughts on our individual dealings with him (eliciting the widest scope of responses possible) whereas I think the mods were asking for a bit of empathy (not explicit in the request for views).

That left them feeling out on a limb while most of us had no issue with the difficult job they faced trying to be fair in the middle of a tough situation.

We can empathise or sympathise with them but only if asked.

Secondly, our continued juvenile actions (I won't exclude myself from this) cause their role on this board to be so time consuming that they barely get a chance to contribute and end up feeling more like enforcers than fellow posters.

This leaves them feeling isolated to the point where we go through this crazy scenario of having to back the guys we know, trust and appreciate.

If we all grew up then this gap need never appear again.

I could have missed the point completely though.....

The fact that this poll had to be set up says a lot.
Brixton & QPRNUTS do a brilliant & thankless job, giving up their own time to ensure fair play. They don't have to, but they choose to, why? Because they care about the forum and our beloved R's.
It's about time they started getting praise & recognition for what they do, rather than constant grief, in addition to having to ban people who really should know better!

If posters thought about what they'd written before clicking "submit" the mods would be able to put their feet up & do nothing, which is how it should be.

    Here endeth thy rant!

I haven't posted much recently because when we're losing every week I get pissed off and I don't see the point of coming on here and moaning. I've noticed a lot of posters getting stroppy with each other too which is why the new rules are necessary, so I'm voting A.

    No mistakes why the poll.
    The decision was flaky IMO
I have told I am gay in the last two days ... That's no problem for me at all because I can take anything ... It's just a forum ... You make out Swords was a bully ... Rubbish complete rubbish you have acted on a system I believe that because of a complaint you stepped in ... My gripe stamp out all the things your rule book says as they happen ... I take it you read every thread between you ? Looks like a case of the police following up a complaint to me at times
Swords was collectively ganged up and your complaints you received about him I think must have come a collective. I have received a number of PM's from people telling me this was the case . that environment has been generated by mistakes made at the top. Seriously I ask again what was the poll about Swords for ... You allowed a poll to take place then went directly against the results .... That in my book was a mistake regardless of the offence which I suggest you publish to clear this up many posters only took your word for it anyway
Complete sham and I do support your work and respect the role but the praise is sickening.

It's like the bloody Freemasons at times ... It's a football forum

I don't have any problems with guidelines per se....but in general it is down to the posters to moderate themselves......stop for a few seconds before hitting the send button and think "would i actually say this to someone face to face?"......if not, don't send it.......simples.

Voted A because the lads have a thankless task.

Man up Imaz you sound like Lassie with a stone in his paw. You post tip top posts and are more than a match for the cross dresser.
I fought the dragon early on ...
I have a growing band of posters who love to rip me or ignore me its their choice on a digital platform which has replaced the newspaper.

You are far sharper than Swords and if he lets himself down by insults after this then he pays not you.

If he comes back and I hope he does then this thing is back to full flavour IMO.

You do seem to be of the opinion that this site needs to be a battleground. You are forever talking of battles, and evil ones, and being a match for each other.

Why? Nobody else thinks the board should operate in this way? Friendly banter, chat about QPR and non-QPR stuff, no need to add anything about abusing people because of their religion, sexuality, colour, whatever.

Aah - the old 'Silent Majority' ploy. Nice one. And of course, anyone in the silent majority cannot, of course, vote in these polls for fear of losing their status. I'm sure that somewhere in your logic, that also counts as a fix that the moderators will twist to their advantage.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz we've done this to death now, as has been said it is a football forum, it is not life or death. Why do we spend hours ranting, raving arguing, over a bunch of overpaid overhyped men who truly could not give a **** about us.
After 40 years I am getting a bit bored and disinterested in the whole thing, life is too short.
