With the T/O happening soon (yawn......) does anyone have reservations about GFH and the future? Should Uncle Ken have our support as the "saviour" or does the grass really grow greener in the deserts and dunes of the Middle East? Voting below:
Given that Uncle Ken is a lying, thieving, tax-evading, beard-wearing, Chelsea-loving ****ing ****, I would be quite happy if Ronald McDonald took over, never mind an oil-rich, football-loving Middle Eastern bank/front for the Bahrain royal family.
Just playing Devils Advocate... Seen some people on various threads getting a bit worried about GFH and the future.......
Even if they aren't right for Leeds, only way we'll find out is to give them a chance. Bates has had enough chances and is clearly incompetent at selecting a buyer with the clubs best interests in mind, instead putting his own selfish drives first
Better not to have a devil at all. Bates out, GFH in until they prove themselves unworthy of the fans. They've promised no debt, and the club doesn't actually need financial help to get promoted (and the TV money will see us through from there). We just need competent people to reinvest the money we put in rather than draining it away on ****e.
At the very least they're saying the right things, and even that's something Bates can't manage. If they buy us with no debt and invest in the squad/work with the fans etc. as they've promised then I'm all for them.
First of all well done Deano on getting your new post I hope all works out well with you as you deserve it for the amount of effort you have put in/. Now to the point in hand we have had many dubious chairman since I supported Leeds in the early fifties but none collectively are as bad as the one in charge now I would sooner have anyone in the whole world than this creature I would dearly like a Dean Hoyle but we can,t always get what we want
To see the back of Bates i would accept a mix of deadly Doug Ellis and Manny Cousins, anybody would be better than the scum we have now
Ironic ain't it, Newcastle got everything they wanted under Astley and they still hated him. Once he stopped caring and ran it like a business they have improved. A bank dedicated to fiscal responsibility with openness could be a very good thing. Bates was right to run Leeds within its means, he just left too many question, too much doubt over transfer funds etc. Then attacking the fans was really the last straw. Personally I refuse to pour money into the pockets of someone calling me a mug.
