I'm really hoping Pards goes 4-3-3 from the off as we really need to get at them early.

    I'd go...

    Harps
    Simmo-Perch- Colo- Santon
    Cabaye-Tiote-Jonas
    HBA-Ba-Cisse

I'd bring Shola on as animpact sub on 60 mins.

What team would you put out?

You do realise you've put Ben Arfa in twice, got to say I'd hope and expect Taylor to be back in, especially given the poor performances recently of Perch and Williamson. Also would like to see Ferguson play further up the pitch.

    Fixed.. I wish!

Didnt know whether to drop Jonas and slot HBA in on the left... Thus freeing up space for the mackem slayer...
If Shola tires we could always bring Sammy on... Lollol

I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyone on International duty comes back unscathed, added to this, hopefully our greatly weakened defence will be back to full fitness by then. <ok>

    If everyone is fit -

    Ba------Cisse------Ben Arfa

    ---------Cabaye----------

    ----Jonas--------Tiote------

    Santon--Colo---Saylor----Simpson

    ------------Krul---------------

Playing a flat midfield sucks cock. If we're defending a win late on, bring on Shola, or if we're trying to get a goal, bring on Shola! :D

If everyone currently expected to be fit is, the only real question is Fergie or Simpson. The rest of the team picks itself

Simpson. I was far from convinced by young Fergie's performance at LB yesterday.

Ferguson should only be used as a winger. His best qualities are in attack.

I would play this line up:

    Shola

    In this formation:

    Shola

I think we miss the never say die thou shalt not pass approach of Simpson, Raylor and Saylor. Its all very well people wanting to upgrade or try new things but these three lads will put their face in the way if it'll stop a goal. Willo would do likewise but he can't get there in time..........

We need Saylor and Simpson back in to get some good old fashioned grit back in that defence. We've missed Simpson. Santon looked even better on the right as most of us suspected he would, but I still think we should play him left until we get a proper left full back. I know Simpson is much maligned by many but I think we've seen while he's been out that we defend better when is in the team.

442 with Ameobi and Ba please. Gives us loads of choices like Jonas or Fergie left wing, or one of them left back, or bringing Simpson back in. Easy to change to 433 if it isn't working too.

On second thought I'd agree with this. Derby matches are about grit as much as skill, and Shola will add a bit of muscle to our forward line. Once he's got his hat trick, we can send on Cisse for the last 20 minutes. It will do him no harm to know that he's not undroppable

I'd play this, but with Ba at CF and Ferguson playing on the left. Cisse isn't currently worthy of a place in the team based on form.

This is why he should be in ahead of Gutierrez who for me has been poor this season.

I agree I think we need to stop ****ing around with our team selections and just get back to last seasons team and tactics.

Pardew knows best, however I'm not sure what's with the tweaking when we have the same team as last season and that team did so well as it was.
