Just got back from Sunday Lunch hangover cure in time for the Arc. Watching the Opera, I wasn't sure what to make of the ground, Wasn't the mudbath I envsioned but clearly is soft. The home straight looked fine but the way they were strung out suggests very, very testing.
No Arc bet today, 3 ante-post bets on: Sea Moon 16-1 Great Heavens 12-1 Yellow and Green 28-1 all each way The consensus of opinion from those being interviwed seems to be that the going is what in the UK would be officially described as heavy. On that basis I'm hoping that I get a return from my hopeful punts
I like your portfolio Reebok. I would be happy with that. Unfortunately, that probably means you've done your money, sorry.
Agree with Ron, great antepost book Reebok. Almost did Sea Moon as a last play but looking at that draw and the way the last race panned out it will take some effort for any of those drawn high to get involved. Have done Great Heavens on the PMU to go with Yellow and Green and Saonois. Bit better than the shocking price here. Also Great Heavens, Camelot, Yellow and Green, Solemia, Saonois in exotics!!! Whenever I do a load in a race i always do abysmally. Still, glad to be alive! Be lucky folks.
Will Camelot prove his potential and that the Ledger was just a blip? Have the Japanese really got a horse as special as they claim? Can Great Heavens be stopped in these conditions? What have the French got in their locker? Can't wait.
Solemia, beaten by Allied Powers in May. Awful race. Well done winner but its a highlight of just how dreadful this years bunch are.
Last year fair enough I thought Danedream was a shock but I looked back at the form and was like fair enough she's won 2G1s this (last) season in facile fashion. I look at Solemia's form and just think what the **** just happened?
Just a farcical race really because of the conditions, and because of the drop outs of top class 4 Y O opposition.
lol - he did rather go out on a limb, but fair do's for having the balls to be so bullish about a selection. He'll be getting stuck into the saki now Yellow and Green nearest of mine in fifth. Oh well - jumps season about to kick on, can't wait
