    My friends dad is a groundsman and he hates them too, makes a terrible mess of the turf and drives him insane when he sees someone do it lol

    I seem to remember a certain striker who had the same celebration for a whole career that wasn't much more imaginative than the old knee slide...

    Have to say I love the knee slide celebration but my favorite has to be the now banned shirt over head.

    I can't help thinking it must be very close to doing some serious knee damage, bending and putting all your weight on it and sliding.
