I love Saylor, and other clubs have injury prone players in their squads as they're useful, but it's clear Saylor will never be able to be relied upon for fitness. I'd keep him, as he can still be very useful to us, but we really do need a new CB.

I think we need to sign someone big, powerful, good in the air and someone to take the first team spot next to Coloccini, as Saylor now has yet another injury. Some people might say it's unfair to say this, since he's not the only player injured at the moment, but he just keeps getting injured. He'd be a fantastic 3rd choice CB though.

Obviously Douglas springs to mind, but has anyone got any ideas for a new first choice partner for Colo?

The obvious player for me is Mbiwa. Only 23 years old, 6'1, predominantly a CB but can play RB and LB as well and he has some pace. I pray we snap him up early in the January market, but he must be getting some interest from BIG clubs.

Douglas seems too obvious to actually happen, if we got Mbiwa I'd be delighted.

I think we now have no choice than to treat Saylor as injury prone. Gutted as I think he is terrific when fully fit.

I also think we have to accept with Colo just over 30, he'll also miss a few games. Once you get there as a defender, you tend to pick up lots of niggly injuries. Back strains, musle pulls etc. A good quality first choice option is a must. I still think Mbiwa, Douglas are most likely. But the scouting team have a lot time since they were first scouted, so I dare say there'll be plenty of options. I'd still keep an eye on Richards situation at Citeh. Sign him and Pieters boosting both full back areas and centre backs in one swoop! :emoticon-0102-bigsm one can dream..............

We need to sign a CB a right back and some cover for Cabaye and that is all in my honest opinion.
