If we play all 7 though, we will only have 4 contracted players in the team. That sounds very worrying to me. I want and will accept short term gain to get us out of the current position but it seems a horrendous way to run a club. We lurch from crisis to crisis with only the briefest rest inbetween and seem to have no plan whatsoever.
I'm going to get slated for saying this. I would see the 1 month loan option as some sort of trial, but with uses as being able to play in competitive matches! Trials are a waste of time. We might sign a player who rips apart a team in the 3rd division from *****lia, and we sign him on that appearance. Then, we bring him on against the likes of Posh, and he doesn't know his arse from his elbow and wanders around like a sheep to the slaughter! I am fully expecting to sign Higgers on a 2 year deal in January after this 1 month loan if his appearances remain consistent!
But then why 1 month rather than 3. You get them suited to your way of working which must take a week or 2. Play them another 2 or 3 times. They then go back. You then put in other players who havent played recently for a further two months before reintroducing the players that were only on loan for a month. If you want them long term then sign them on a decent length deal.
