Nice pic col, but if you'd like to tell me what he has done for you in the last 18 months to warrant your undie-ing loyalty..I'm more than happy to listen, and should the need arise, maybe even change my opinion...

Think i may be waiting for your reply for a while though mate...

    is that fair enough ?!

I personally cant understand why you seem so negative towards him.

Tarrabt is one of those players that can completley turn a game on its head......yes he is young and stupid and when used in games where he isnt suited (away from home or against big strong hoofing teams) he can go missing.

BUT football is a sport.....an entertainment and he is by far the most entertaining player we have.......when he takes the ball down and skins players from almost impossible situations, and then fires pin point passes that cut open defences, I get goosebumps and Loftus Road goes wild!

There isnt a feeling better than that in football and I cant see why anyone would not want that week in and week out.

I take on board that he needs to be more consitant...BUT he has commited his future to QPR....his head is 100% focused on us and he hasnt been given a chance yet....bar the Swansea game where everyone was awful.

The Westham games showed how much he wants it now and he played his heart out and scored a goal that 90% of the players in this league couldnt do (without a fluke).

Unless you want players like Mackie who has the touch of a r*pist or SWP who just runs into defenders, then he is player you should get behind 100%.

1st choice name on the back of any QPR shirt I would get!

Also he is the kind of player that attracts young kids to your club......his skills and wizardry on the ball is what young kids love......fall in love with the player, you fall in love with the club he is associated to!

it's a beautiful irony that a wayward and hugely talented idiot savant may save overcautious corporate man Sparky his job..

time for the players to stop wearing those pathetic blue suits and ties and get the Fezes on..

we need play with a smile on our face and we need to stop clenching our buttocks and dare to win..

There you go Queens................franckster said it all for me.
Have to say, I do wonder if being at games makes a difference to how we feel about Taarabt. I want to be entertained and I want to see skill and creativity. The crowd at LR seems to love Adel on the whole. Queens and Swords seem to be Adel's biggest detractors and they don't go to games. Just a theory!

Queens his goals and performance in just two games last season was enough ... Arsenal and Spurs ... He is also widely considered by his fellow players as the player will the most skill in the division.

For the first half of the season Adel Taarabt was ahead in the midfielder shots on target ... ok they didn't go in, he is/was a little reckless. His passing is way beyond anyone in the premiership ... he is our most gifted and dangerous player and those who can't see that well they are unfortunate

That's well offensive and out of order about Adel Taarabt.

As a theory, that's bollocks. Plenty of us who view from afar think that taarabt has been given a hard time of it over the last two seasons and that he is unfairly blamed when we lose disastrously. While I was still in London there were almost as many season ticket holders who slagged him off every time he put a foot wrong as there were who appreciated what he did for the sheer genius of it. It even gets to the ridiculous when critics tell us openly he has been crap all season and blame him for 4 of Swansea's goals! truly amazing as he was not even on the ptich for at least three of them. I think the stream they watched that game on must have been from a parallel universe.

They probably watched all the others on the same parallel stream as well because Taarabt did not play again after the Swansea game until West Ham. At least not in our universe.

By the way Queens, I'm still waiting for your take on Granero's performance against West Ham which was patchy at best. Your credibility is at stake here.

Pity Swords is suspended for the time being. Would have loved to wind him up and let him go. Always entertaining.

Fair enough. Just a thought. I also hear the occasional regular at games slagging Taarabt off, although I have to say that the majority seem to love him. The crowd were calling for him long before he appeared on Monday!! I guess my theory was based on my own personal feeling that I'd always prefer to watch flair for my season ticket money rather than the industrious work rate you get with, say, a Mackie or a SWP!!

BTW............re the Swansea game. Hughes played Taarabt completely out of position. Now where have we heard that before from Hughes?

Careful col. Don't give them any more ammunition. That must have been his fault as well. Any player who wants to be a Prem player has to be able to play in any position even GK!

Francster...I agree with all of this except the name on the shirt thing...Personally I'd have granero or Cisse...just bpersonall choice mate.
I've posted so many time that T is skillfull, but facts are that over the last 18 months he aint delivered
I also wont (yet) buy into the theory that he is the new messiah, best in the prem (absolute rubbish) and is taking the prem by storm because of what he did in the championship....

I desperately want him to be a star and prove me and his "Not convinced" followers wrong...
i didnt dislike the guy; i dont know him, but all I have ever said is that I dont think he can/will cut it in the premier league....He hasnt..yet...No one can doubt that.

So again, let me ask you what he has done since being in the premier League to justyfy such die hard following...Forget the Championship..even Jay Boothroud looked good there
we've had a (very) few glimpses of genius but every player in the prem has had that over the past year and a half.

the question is not whether he has the ability..Thats painfully obvious..its whether he can hold his own, consistantly against better and top players from around the world......I'm still waiting..
For the record i truely believe he has improved under Hughes and it may be thats what he needed to sort his head out.

And Col, as for the not attending games theory...please dont get me started on that subject of absolute crap...utter rubbish that is often spouted on WATRB...cheap excuse for people who cannot see another point of view and are thick..which you most certainly are not mate...!

Don't really see this theory - with HD big screens these days in many ways you see more of a game than when you physically there, the close-ups are incredible. Also, you can see Adel have 5 or 6 players desperately trying to cage him at the same time as you can see the dish in row 69 licking her nextman's hoops, and the sound ain't bad either! But being there is still a million times better - your and others reports give a lot of that missing flavour. Col!

I do completely understand where you are coming from.

In essence he hasnt proven himself in the Premier League.....he certainly isnt the messiah and/or the best in the Premier League (allthough I do believe he is the most skillful)

He I believe was 80% of the reason we got into the Premiership in the first place, which is why people regard him so highly.....even if he hasnt properly proven himself yet.

The boy has a lot to learn......I think last season was a banana skin, as I stated due to the whole PSG saga and not having a proper pre-season......also the thought that he may not be 100% commited to us.

THIS season, all is different....he had a full preseason and signed a new contract keeping him with us for another 4 years......if you watch the interview with him, he looks like he is about to cry and how much he loves this club (ive not seen that from a QPR player ever!)......mix that with the pure skill and wizardry that the guy posseses and I believe he could have an amazing season and win us games.

I might be wrong and im happy to hold my hands up come the end of the season and say so.

But he will have still entertained me and made me feel I got my £750 worth, which is why I go every week.

As for the shirt thing, thats just a matter of personal choice :) BUT im reserving my opinion on Granero just yet...no doubt he is quality but I havent seen him play enough to earn that "player on the back of my shirt" status quite yet.

P.S there isnt any better song than the whole of Loftus Road singing "Tarrabts to goood for you" after he has litterally made an experienced defender looks like some Sunday league amatuer or bent a screamer in the top corner! PURE football gold.

Ok....I must put the record straight here!! I am NOT saying that people who don't go to games are somehow lesser fans in any way whatsoever. The point I was trying to make, which was spectacularly missed, was that for me, personally, I prefer to see flair players like Taarabt for my season ticket money and I wondered whether others felt the same. I also wondered whether that, given this isn't a factor for fans who don't go to games, these fans may not be so worried about being entertained for their money and so, maybe they would be more critical of players like Adel?
I'm probably way off the mark, but it certainly wasn't a slur on people who don't go to games!!

    Queens, you asked,
"So again, let me ask you what he has done since being in the premier League to justyfy such die hard following"

Did you not see that 30 mins against West Ham? 30 mins doesn't mean he has made it in the Prem of course.....but that cameo clearly showed why a lot of us give him the "die hard following" you described.

Agree Frankster, except for a month or so in the autumn, he was great last season. It was just many, many posts out, rather than posts in - unlucky.

Franc...tatally agree with that post as before, and i am supremely confident, that come end of seaason you will have a great opinion of Granero

yep he's the MAIn reason we got promoted and the song is great when heard either live or on a 5.1 suround system in the local pub.

As i said, I'm not passing judgement on him yet this season because he hasnt been given the opportunities that he deserves. must be something in the background, but hopefully now, after his West Ham goal..he's finally taken his chance and forced his way into the team...surely if any player deserves to start it must be him....!

Lets hope, that come xmas & even close season, Were are comfortably safe and tarbs has finally put all doubts to rest for people like me...

heres to hoping for a win...!!
