What do people consider as "good enough for the Premier League"? Is it where they don't look awful, they have to hold their own against the opposition or do they have to be decent? Because if it's one of the former two, then I think that Hammond would have been a good option for a side that's main aim is to avoid relegation.

Perhaps that is a question for Nigel, who will have looked at our midfielders and decided which ones will play a part this season. The question for me is how involved would Hammond have been so far if he was here, I don't think it would have been very much at all. And that is bearing in mind we have Cork to come back and Morgan being out on Saturday as well. I like Hammond and we owe him a lot for getting us to where we are now, it wouldn't have been fair for him to stay and not play at all this season.

No, not end of story Tom - just your opinion. Fair few of us think that for a game like Sundays, with first choices injured, Deano would do a good job for the team - end of story.

Swapping Yoshie for Jos is strange, if you think Jos has more ariel strength then fair enough, but if you really need to bring in Jos then why not drop Jose ? Yoshie and Jose have been OK, the main problem being the fullbacks.

I think Yoshida's the first CB on the team sheet, as Adkins has said before that "they have to be better than what we've already got". Fonte has improved since partnering Yoshida, however the only time Hooiveld has partnered Yoshida was against Wednesday in the League Cup, so I don't think that Hooiveld's been given a proper chance yet and will have to wait until the chance comes along.

The past is another country...they do things differently there. Apart from the fans, we are a completely different team from our last spell in the PL. If we are to survive this season, we must get some points off 'middling' PL clubs and probably will have to do that at home. Doesn't mean we will. I shouldn't post today as I am feeling depressed about Saints. Need to get my boing back. :)

Deano has always been undervalued. People can't see the contribution he makes to the team. He is not the most talented (in terms of flair and skill), however he was pivotal to our great start last season. I give you Nobby Stiles - 1966

Newbie here....had no idea this forum existed and was referred by one of your members. Hello everybody!

For what it's worth, I think we will win this one. Fulham don't travel well, and Rickie is due another couple of goals

hi all,i think we will win this one,by a nervous score line of 2-1.I reckon that duff is a serious threat to any team and fulham have been knocking them in for fun this season.Hopefully being on the road will affect them. This game kicks-off at 8.30 am trinidad time, but is live on cable tv.
Would be a great way to start a sunday morning.Lambert and davies to score for the saints.

    Welcome Steve.

I fancy a win for this game, 2-0 sounds about right, but maybe more if we click into gear and Fulham have one of their poor away days. I reckon Pucheon will be recalled. Quite fancy Ramirez to be influencial again.....cos he's brilliant.
