What's this? Newcastle playing well for 90 minutes? - My thoughts on the game

Well, I have to say I didn't expect that. I was thinking a 1-1, or maybe 1-0 either way before the game.

The best performance we've put in since the Stoke 3-0 game.

I'm just gonna go straight to the player reviews -

Elliot - 7 - Good goalkeeping, some great decisions and claims. Didn't put a foot wrong, and he could be part of our future.

Harper - 7.5 - Solid and excellent again.

Simmo - 7.5 -Good to see him back, good performance from the lad.

Willo - 8 - Solid today. Thought he performaned really well, and against big players.

Perch - 8 - Solid performance. Hopefully Willo and Perch will do it vs Manure.

Ferguson - 9 - Absolutely stunning. Another fantastic assist, beautiful passing, and great runs of the ball. He's hardly had many starts in his career so far, but credit to the lad, he keeps on coming back stronger.

Tiote - 8 - Great performance. A silly yelllow card, and a few stupid, unecessary potential trips, but apart from that, it's good to see him back. We miss his physical presence.

Anita - 7 - Good performance. Some great tracking of players, good all round play. His passing is good mostly, sometimes I think it's just him and the players around him not understanding each other.

Cabaye - 7.5 - Superb long passes and great performance. Superb pass in the move that lad to the first goal.

Cisse - 7 - Good performance. Don't know why he started on the RW but w/e. Great finish for the 3rd goal, and good energy.

Shola - 8.5 - He lead the line very well. Some sexual skills.

Obertan - 8.5 - Great assist. Despite being ****e for most of his time here, he's always shown a great touch and ball control. Some fantastic play tonight. Hopefully this boosts his confidence.

Bigi - 7 - Good app. He tracks players very well.

Gosling - 6 - Worked hard, helped prevent them from getting a goal we all thought was offside anyway.

MOTM - Fergie for me. Outstanding. Great defensively and fantastic all round play.

Very proud of that performance, mainly because the squad, and Pards, are starting to show that they really care about this competition!

as soon as the game was won Pardew was taking him off, saving him for Sunday

A couple of really nice bright young girls (about 8) sitting beside me on the bus home had been to the game with their dad, and when I asked them what they thought about it they both brought up the man with no clothes on.

 

Poor beggar can only afford one sock - although judging by that pic he should use it to cover up something other than his foot to avoid any embarrassment.
