I think we will finish around 15th. I will be happy if we finish above disappointed if below. I don't worry about relegation. The points difference between the playoffs and 15th is prob 2-3 wins so who knows. That's why the playoffs make the leagues exciting, even if they are probably not the right way to do things
Strangely not to many are getting over excited about a league position. History is to much of a reminder to know and wait until game 46. Not looked at your lads this season, so cannot comment on the expectations of your season. But I'll have a look in occasionally. Well unless we start to drop off and then I'l go and hide again
Always time for a cuppa The jury for me personally is still out on Burton, although it appears the Gills fans are liking him. His ability from what I have heard is showing more in away games than at home (I have only been to one away game this season). Was unlucky not to score at home against Rochdale, although we deserved to lose. Reported recently he wants to be the penalty taker, although I can't really see him dislodging Keds from that job. I need to see him at least a few more times before deciding. Mind you anything has got to be better than Oli and Kuffour - no wonder Wycombe have problems
Just want to stay up. Still early ish and would hope to be mid table by Christmas but that's easier said than done.
Has anyone noticed we are the only team being referred to as ''struggling''. It's not as if we are bottom and 20 points behind the nearest team.
Burton is a good penalty taker, don't recall him missing one for us. Wins a lot of headers for someone who is 5.10 Only one away game? You plastic explains why you're back in cafc territory
got my season ticket which was probably more than a Charlton season ticket! Finances sadly do not stretch to away games, accept on the odd occasion. Just had a look back on my previous comments and completely forgot I stated Deon Burton was my MOM at Barnet. As for the penalties, Keds does not generally miss them either. So I guess when he misses his first this season, Burton will be lining up to take the next.
Can't remember what I wrote (and I checked it two minutes ago) but I doubt I'd have accepted an offer of fifteenth in the close season. We're about where I'd have classed an aceptable finish now. I think the play offs might have proves embarrassing, while should our end of season surge have seen us win through, the idea of the current side in the Premier is frightening (I'd still have gone mental celebrating though, naturally). I'm waiting to see how the squad shapes up for next season before I renounce a top two finish, but at the momento, 15th won't do next year either.
Great thread. I'd be happy with 15th. Important to mention that this thread was created when other forums were full of chat about administration and the club not completing the season.
