    MK DONS v PORTSMOUTH

    League One – 6 October 2012

    Link to BBC Preview:

    Last meeting at Milton Keynes
    N/A

    Who are Ya?
I’ve no wish to get my tin opener out and rake up old arguments about the old Wimbledon, the Franchise and the move to Milton Keynes, so:
MK Dons began in 2004, taking in League One; replacing the old Wimbledon FC. This is their 9th season; seven of which have been in League One and two in League Two.
They played at the National Hockey stadium until the end of the 2006-07 season, when they moved to their current home at the 32,000 capacity Stadium MK.
Highest League Finish: 3rd in League One 2009 (playoff semi-final)
Lowest League Finish: 4th in League Two 2007 (playoff semi-final)
    Honours:
4th Tier [League Two] winners 2008
Football League Trophy [Paint Pot] winners 2008

    Yesteryear
    N/A

    Silver Stats – MK Dons
    N/A

    Last 5 years
    2012 – 5th in League One (playoff semi-finals)
    2011 – 5th in League One (playoff semi-finals)
    2010 – 12th in League One
    2009 – 3rd in League One (playoff semi-finals)
    2008 – 1st in League Two (promoted)

    Random Fact:
On 5 June 2010 the Stadium MK hosted a full interntional, as Ghana took on Latvia in a World Cup warm-up match. Ghana won 1-0.

    Match Odds (at Skybet)

    MK Dons – 8/15
    Pompey – 7/2
    Draw – 3/1

    Mystic Devo
Pompey have just achieved back-to-back wins and morale will be a lot higher than it has been of late.
Although they’ve since lost in the league Cup and the Paint Pot, MK Dons are unbeaten in the league since 25th August and in five home League fixtures only Notts County have left with a point and a goal.

Devo reckons: MK Dons 2-0 Pompey

I reckon, Dev, a 1-1 draw, as long as we can keep everyone fit <ok>

Just bought my tickets, would be nice to win but a score draw would also be ok.

I reckon a 2-2 draw..if we're lucky. The lads did well at Yeovil and things are looking up but we still look vulnerable at the back to nippy wingplay. Should be interesting.

If anyone is interested. There is a great real ale pub on the way back at the bottom of the A43 just before you join the M40 at a little village called Stoke Lyne- The Peyton Arms. We've been using it for years, on the way back from various games.Old fashioned parlour pub. Highly recommended. We'll be there Saturday night <cheers>

Well, it wouldn't be Portsmouth if we kept a clean sheet.
