1st: to Arsenal: an impressive defensive performance that kept their back line firmly back all game and we could have easily nicked it, which brings me on to Man City... and the like; please log in to view this image 2 Game 2 against 10 men, we were still second best and at West Ham, we almost got away with one, however on the balance of play we were well beaten. Our first home game wasn't so great and we finally beat a 10 man Premiership team. At Swansea there was a spark of what looked to be a well-balanced, attack enabled team and we looked really confident in spells against the full team in the fist half. This team had better start to gel, we need some huge performances out there this Saturday imo /my 2 cents
Hopefully AJ will be fit and we'll see Ses.s and McClean build upon their last performances. I think having McBardo available at right back will be the biggest catalyst for us, as we can move Craig into midfield and show some creativity. We always seem to raise our game against the big boys, so it should be a good match
Seriously, we went on a winning streak last season because some key players al'a Sess, Vaughan, McClean and Cattermole stepped up a gear and we were fluid and menacing as well as dangerous on the break. Where are these lads? Where's that mettle?
I fancy we might see the best performance of the season from the lads on Saturday, whether that'll be enough, who knows. The boost from registering a win will be obvious, AJ will be well up for it, and City have been borderline shambolic in spells at the back, although I don't expect that to last. 2 concerns are the unplayable trio of Silva, Aguero & Toure, and the fact that if we let City come at us, they have several players that can smack one from range. We prove time and time again we can compete with the big boys, it's generally the lesser teams that we let ourselves down against, the season to date being a direct indication of that. Anything could happen, I'm putting it down as a narrow defeat, and anything better is a bonus. 2-1 City.
Well, last season I thought we'd get nothing off them and look what happened. This season, we're unbeaten and have never had to come back from behind. So it's Fletcher first goal scorer and a draw for me. glasshalffull.com
Thats the key Nomad, getting Bardo fit and Gardener in midfield, Colback to the bench. We need big games from Adam, Sess and McLean.
even being very optomistic last season i didnt expect anything at all so got a pleasant suprise will take adraw this time but i still think we will have to be lucky ,hope we are very lucky indeed.
