Wow! Very emotional, you can tell he meant every word of that. Great to see that spirit from one of our players when we're needing it most. I'll write a transcipt of what he said for those without Qprplayer after i've listened to this- http://playbackmedia.co.uk/qprpodcast/
I thought like every one else did their was something going on in the background,I really felt sorry for Adel he was really emotional on player whether he was injured or not he obviousley was'nt happy MH never picked him lets hope its all sorted now and AT can get back playing.
a brilliant interview. he has really grown up and as you say you can see he means what he says. He loves this club and said he will win the gaffer games. He MUST MUST start v West Brom.
I'm sure Hughes had deliberately dropped him after the Swansea game and all that'must try harder in training' bollocks was just a cover story
Oh Adel you almost got me going!!! I know he has his faults but in my opinion you'd have to have a heart of stone not to love him.
http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/lo...-showdown-talks-with-qpr-boss-82029-31960698/ ADEL Taarabt revealed he had a showdown with QPR manager Mark Hughes before the West Ham game on Monday night – but proved a point by scoring a wonder goal despite the 2-1 home defeat. The mercurial Moroccan admitted to club'’s website he has been through emotional turmoil since playing just one match so far – the 5-0 home defeat to Swansea on opening day. He said: “I went to see him this week and told him ‘I’m not happy with this situation, gaffer’. He said ‘it was not his mistake, but my mistake, because my attitude has not been right.’ “But I told him I’m going to fight for you and this club and win games. Be patient with me.” The Muslim midfielder insisted he knew he was going to score because he had a T-shirt with the slogan ‘I love Allah’ underneath his club shirt bared to all in celebration after the ball whistled over the head of Jussi Jääskeläinen. Tarrabt explained: “It’s been a difficult time for me, and I thought I was going to start. But when I came on I knew I was going to score because I put something on my shirt – and I usually don’t.”
Please write on your shirt three times in future, and if possible, scribble it on Cisse and Zamora's shirt too.
I wonder if he would have been so passionate and fired up if he had been starting in the last few weeks. I doubt it. That is what we need, a fired up Taraabt. Hopefully he can stay that way.
“But I told him I’m going to fight for you and this club and win games. Be patient with me.” lets hope the rest of them start to feel the same we also need to be patient with hughes
Thank God Adel never went to PSG who are a bunch of ****s anyways. Here's hoping he has many more successful years with us and if he has to leave may it be back home to OM. Never knew before today that the shirt fine was for obscuring the sponsor's logo. Ironic that the bastards at the FA have fined someone for desplaying the name of God over that of an airline company. Enough to make me have a fundamentalist moment!
Outstanding just watched it ... we have a great player and nice to see him so passionate about his club. Also watch the U21 vid as it shows my mates son playing against the hoops . Bugger nearly scored as well ... watch him he will play for England one day ... Solly March... The lad was chipping in 8 of 10 balls in the waste bins on French beaches with me just 6 years ago.
Nice one. We need adel on the pitch one of few players that can unlock defences and yeah he gives the ball away sometime but that's something we have to live with cos he's got moments of real magic. After his goal Wednesday might just give him that confidence he needs.
Adel will always be my favourite player for QPR while he remains at this club. He may be a stroppy git and sometimes immature, but his 1st touch and skill on the ball is 2nd to none in this league. He was the reason we got promoted from the Championship (not Warnock)....allthough thats just my opinion. I would quite happily pay the £750 a year just to watch him nutmeg experienced defenders, take impossible balls down onto his feet like they were pinpoint and score his trademark curling top corners goals......his positives far outway the negatives for me and when he comes on our creativity goes through the roof. Playing players like SWP or Mackie over him, should be a criminal offence!
Well said lads ... I also would like to insert a few fireworks up the Adel doubters ... He has a character, i think that's fine, no one can doubt his passion can they now? I also stand by my statement that I have yet to see a better talent than Adel Taarabt he is our Matt Le Tissier, he is our Zidane
I went with the lads to the Barnsley away match in our championship winning season and Adel scored after about 30 secs and then did f-all for the rest of the match, but who cared? He won us the game and left the remaining 89m30s to Gorkss & Co to sort out. Great night that. Barnsley, Beer & Pie
He will in time become a worthy wearer of the number 10 shirt and will be talked about in the same way as Rodney & Stanley.
Insert all you like Dt..but if he doesnt deliver in hs next 5 starts it makes hiom ( and you) WEL OUT OF YOUR LEAGUE.. Please amintain your belief because i have seen him have 1 good game then a season of ****e !! personally...i really really hope he can deliver..not sure though..personally ????!
Well he certainly delivered in the West Ham game......and he is far more creative from an attacking perspective than any of our other midfielders. last season was a bit of a banana skin for him, as he didnt have a pre-season and the whole PSG saga messed with his mental state. He will be big for us this season, if Hughes gives him the chance.
Queens I urge you to look at our player and not judge him by goals or a crass English work rate ethic. The beauty this player can bring to the game is a rarity. Watch the West Ham game again for an example of how this player performs at a higher level of genius ... He plays a ball through to Cisse and many around me watching the game groaned for a second before they saw the brilliance of it. Study his header off balance right into Cisse path who is sharp but didn't expect it, His through ball for Cisse. These snapshots are not luck, they area divine skill this player has been blessed with. In essence he has already delivered more in 36 minutes for me than anyone individual of our current squad... by that i mean creativity and you cannot put a price on that in football. Of course in this world the pressure is on to perform and even you have barked you own 5 game deadline. Taarabt i hope reached his density with us ... show me a more skilful player in the premier league? ... Get behind this player our player we are lucky to have him. I respect people have their doubts but they are based on ignorance IMO and I for one would defend Taarabt on here at every opportunity... He is QPR 100% and those who rubbish him just don't get it IMO
