Yeah i think he will turn out to be a fantastic signing and we will prob make a load of money out of him, its just right now in the present we need to keep a clean sheet and at the moment i can't see us doing that if we stick to the players/formation we've been using this season, I'd almost be tempted to play 5 4 1 with all 3 centre backs starting
When 2/4 of the personnel in defence aren't good enough, it matters little what formation you play. We should continue to play the 4-2-3-1 because it suits our attacking players because, lets face it, we#re going to concede goals, so we may as well keep what's been successful attacking wise in place and just hope we score more than the opposition! Sounds very much like Blackpool's approach to Premier League survival but until January when we can get another CB + new LB, I feel as if that's how it's going to be. So - with that in mind - we'll beat Fulham 3-2.
Yoshida speaks reasonably good English I am told, SK.........So I think it more likely he is settling in before he starts shouting the odds.............He certainly commands the Japanese defense when playing for his country I have been told.
Looking like Morgan is definitely out. Well that is **** news. If only we hadn't ****ing put Hammond out on loan.
Score Prediction: Saints 2-1 Fulham Scorers: Lambert, Puncheon Team: ---------- Gazzaniga ---------- Richardson Fonte Yoshida Clyne ---- S.Davis -------- JWP ---- -------------Ramirez----------- Puncheon -- Lambert -- Lallana Subs: K.Davis, Hooiveld, Reeves, Chaplow, Guly, Mayuka, Rodriguez
I'm with RGM, I think we could have done with Deano. Plenty of flair, but with Morgan & Jack being out, theres not much steel. Hopefully the flair gets us through!
Schneiderlin and Cork are out. Only those two and Davis can play CDM out of the squad and then there's Hammond who can do it who's on loan. Which makes it difficult to play 4231 without trying to play a player like JWP in there who will be no where near as effective atsHammond at that particular role as he's extremely lightweight and weak in the challenge, will also run out of steam long before 90minutes at his age trying to play that role. Hammond would be very good back up for Schneiderlin, Cork , Davis. To be blunt a real stupid and completely unnecessary reply.
well I doubt hammond would really be happy to be 4th or so back up, and with davis in midfield we don't need a hammond type player. Ward prowse is a better footballer and chaplow is probably more effective.
Hammond is a far better option than JWP or Chaplow at filling Schneiderlin's void in a 4231. End of story
hammond can't pass forwards nor can he complete a pass over 10 yards, he is no schneiderlin replacement
I almost entirely agree. He'd certainly be on the bench if he didn't start. For his own pride though, he had to go and find regular first team football. He's a leader.
Everybody has their own opinion on things of course - but i would def have liked to see Deano starting on Sunday if Spiderman is injured. Shame that he will be in Brighton's team and not ours this w/e.
Truth is if he stays at Brighton we will never know. I don't think he could mix it with your Toure and Scholes etc but up against Fulham and the lesser sides he could probably do a good job.
