I didn't notice what he did at the time as I was too busy jumping up and down and hugging my Son! Anyone know if there's a story behind him pulling up his shirt to reveal the message "I love Allah"? I don't have a problem which God he chooses to love, but he did get a needless booking for it I believe. Anyone have any idea what it was all about?
He got booked because when he lifted up his shirt we were all hoping to see a J Terry you know what you said message instead Blunderburg was not impressed with Allah
Sounds like we should appeal that card on grounds of religious descrimination from Blunderberg! I thought you had to take your shirt off and reveal a naked torso to get booked - I see players pulling up their shirts and revealing some message all the time without getting booked that I notice. For me it is a ridiculous ruling to give cards for such celebrations (it's just a happy part of the game, why punish it), and equally stupid of players to get booked for it if the rules are clear.
If that's what religion does for Adel's goal scoring abilities I suggest enforced conversion to Islam for the entire squad immediately.
I should think MH is off buying prayer mats as we speak, Imaz Seriously, it does smack of ill-discipline within the camp if our last two scorers (Cisse took his shirt off against Reading) get booked after their goal. It doesn't help the cause. Whatever happened to players just sticking their arms in the air and having a quick hug with their teammates
After extensive studying of video footage of Adel's goal on YouTube it's clear that Adel was facing Mecca when he shot for goal. Fact. A coincidence? Of course not.
I still fail to understand why you can't appeal a yellow card and only a red. We (the club) should make an official complaint about Kuntenberk as should West Ham. Pulling your shirt over your head is the most idiotic reason I've heard so far for issuing a yellow card. There is meant to be a panel that sits and watches games to review the performance of the Ref, is this still done and if so why do we never get to see their reports? Either the FA think Calamityburg is doing sterling work or they are burying their results.
Lol! Knowing our luck Blackberry might be our next sponsor with the unfortunately named RIM as our shirt sponsor!
There's some law about stuff written on undershirts, can't remember whether it's an FA or FIFA rule. If yellow cards were to be appealed the cost would probably be off the scale due too the sheer numbers and time consumed. I suspect this may be the reason.
I see...we're doing "black jokes" now are we....?!!..When do we hit the Irish and the..dare i say it...jews...!?
I believe he was booked as you are not allowed to show messages of any kind on your undershirt. This rule must be known by all the players, Staff and club. If so adel should be fined, but it begs the question why was he allowed to wear it in the first place?
As a Blackberry user I assure you it is less of a joke and more of a tragedy. To restart the pile of ****e you have to pull the battery, this is 2012 not 1985.
Fair play imaz..I'm gonna bail outta this thread before it goes leftfield or someone else gets offended.... keep the faith brother, and although i dont agree with your theory that Tarbs should still be captain..he had a blinder the other night...hope he can repeat it soon !
