Inbetween letting me run amok on the streets of 80s North Belfast my mother always told me not to answer a question wih a question
From debating with you. I still however hold the right to insult you on any thread or poll on any forum or subforum in the forum index. I hereby wish to exercise that right. You're a giant, disease ridden pathetic excuse of a man and I hope you die Good night ****lips
Ok, more kids are killed in car accidents than abduction. But you see my point. 5 is too young though. My little girl is coming up to 4 and a half, and there is no way I'd let her loose on the streets with only slightly older kids to watch out for her. Nor will I when she is 5. Maybe when she's 7. She'll still have years and years of fun playing out, it's not like she'll miss those couple of years. But she'll have grown-up a bit by then and will understand danger a bit more.
Fuck off, Jip. A wee lassie out playing at 7pm is hardly "asking" for someone to abduct her. This thread is like a meeting of the Womens Institute, hysterical whining and overbearing caution. The wee girl was in the wrong place at the wrong time, hopefully she's ok. But to blame the parents is ridiculous, it's 7pm not 10pm.
I have a step-daughter approaching 5yo. We live in a cul-de-sac which is very quiet but she is never allowed out the front to play unless she is being supervised by her mum or myself. It's not just in case there's some nutter about who will lift her, it's more to do with ensuring she's ok and out of the way of moving vehicles etc. That and he fact that we are of the belief that there is nothing wrong with wanting to watch her enjoy herself. I don't think the parents in this case should be blamed for her disappearance but their supervision would have prevented it. They will feel guilty enough without the public giving them **** for not doing what most parents would have done.
Here's the trouble with that argument. It SHOULD be OK to leave young kids out to play - but it isn't (for most people unless you live in a six house hamlet in the West Highlands). The parents didn't do a bad thing - the person who took her did. There's also a world of a difference between bringing kids up in a city and bringing them up in a wee Welsh village. It's not cool for a 5 year old child to be wandering the streets of a big city or even a fairly sized town EVER. In a cul-de-sac where everyone knows each other, it's a different story. I've no doubt these parents only recently let this girl play out with her friends unsupervised - I'm sure they took that decision seriously as well and considered the small chance of any consequences and decided that letting her develop freely was the best thing for her. I reckon that's why you haven't heard a peep from them - these people feel terrible and feel slightly culpable when they aren't necessarily so. I don't blame them in the slightest. If I was in their shoes, I'd be in bits about it - I cannot fathom anything scarier than having one of your kids snatched but you have to consider their freedom. I hope they get her back, man - this is one of those news stories that goes straight for a father's weak spot. Mon the April.
Me and my pal used to jump the bus into town from Dennistoun when we were 6 or 7, we used to get off with the fare by claiming we were only 4.
Everyone knows the streets of Britain are awash with *****philes. The red tops said so, must be true.
Watched the whole series on 4OD about a month ago. They'll not make anything as close to the truth and bone for British TV like that for a long time. Comedy has been censored to **** in the UK because of two complete fannies making a ****e prank call and all the mopes who complained about it.
We used to cross the busy A96 to get to the airport when I was 6. Got up to allsorts, collecting eggs and bluebottles. Even used to go to the quarry. Mind you I dont think the folks would have been too chuffed if they knew. There were *****s around then as well, just not given blanket coverage by the media. Being a father myself I hope to god the little girl is found safe.
Elephants are rubbish at saving their babies from the river. They try really hard but don't know what to do. Stupid ****s.
