If you could rearrange the current drivers to be in whichever cars you wanted for whatever reasons what would your grid be?

    Mine would be this:

Red Bull: Vettel/di Resta - di resta v Vettel again, good to see what di resta can do in a good car.
Mclaren: Button/Hamilton - Was tempted to put Hamilton in Red Bull for Hamilton/Vettel showdown, but I like the Brit dream team.
Ferrari: Alonso/Rosberg - Rosberg finally in a car that can win races (hopefully).
Mercedes: Schumacher/Webber - Not much to say on this.
Renault: Massa/Perez - Massa needs a team where he is the senior driver, Perez in a good car could be interesting.
Williams: Kobayashi/Barrichello - Barrichello will retire soon and seem happy at Williams, love to see Kobayashi driving a Williams.
Force India: Sutil/Heidfeld - Don't really care about the team or drivers.
Sauber: Petrov/Kovalainen - Only place left, seems ok.
Toro Rosso: Buemi/Glock - Could be useful.
Lotus: Alguersuari/Trulli - About where they belong.
    HRT: Karthikeyan/Liuzzi - Dumpage ground.
Virgin: d'Ambrosio/Maldonado - Everything is sh*t so seems a good fit.

Red Bull: Vettel/Hamilton - would be good to see them pair off
Mclaren: Button/Massa - battle of the secret #2's
Ferrari: Alonso/Kobayashi - Koba should drive for ferrari
Mercedes: Schumacher/di Resta - di resta is a merc man
Renault: Rosberg/Perez - good talent in my team =)
Williams: Heidfeld /Barrichello - Retirement team
    Force India: Webber/Sutil - pffft
    Sauber: Petrov/Kovalainen - wasted talent
Toro Rosso: Buemi/Alguersuari - seems to fit
Lotus: Glock/Trulli - best of the drivers in the new teams
    HRT: Karthikeyan/Liuzzi - not bothered
    Virgin: d'Ambrosio/Maldonado - rubbish rookies

    Haha… A fun thread!

My first wish would be to see Hamilton and Alonso in the same team.

My second wish would be to see Schumacher teamed with any of the drivers currently considered to be in the top flight: Button, Alonso, Vettel, Hamilton. Alternatively, put him in with one of the fresh talents such as Perez, Petrov, di Resta or Kobayashi.

After that, it's always good to compare like for like, so how about di Resta with Kobayashi anyway?!

    Red Bull
Webber/Massa - I think it would be good to see them in the same machinery, and also for Red Bull to have two drivers that aren't exactly team leaders - so hopefully their is no favouritism in Red Bull.
    Mclaren
Button/Heidfeld - This is Hamilton's team, so I'd replace the team favourite, and go for two drivers who are consistent and experienced. Also, I honestly believe Heidfeld should have replaced Hakkinen at McLaren (but having said that, Raikkonen later proved he deserved the place).
    Ferrari
Alonso/Rosberg - I'd give Rosberg the chance to see what he is really capable of in a top car and more importantly, against a top teammate. Ferrari are still struggling with the loss of their dream team, and need a leader like Alonso.
    Mercedes
Kobayashi/Di Resta - Di Resta is currently schooling Sutil, and is pretty much ending Sutil's career ambitions of driving for a top team. He's too good for Force India, and Mercedes are already linked to him. Also wan't to see Kamui in better machinery.
    Renault
Vettel/Hamilton - Both are used to being No.1/ team favourite - and at least one of them deserves a spanking and their ego crushed. Also would like to see how these two cope with less competitive machinery, and also, which one is better.
    Williams
    Schumacher/Barrichello - For old times :)
    Force India
Kovalainen/Sutil - Sutil's current situation makes me think he will never progress from Force India. Meanwhile, Kovalainen went from McLaren to Lotus and is still smiling. Also he's owning Trulli and should therefore be given a better car.
    Sauber
Perez/Trulli - This is effectively Ferrari's B team, maybe not as much anymore, but for that reason, Perez should bide his time at Sauber - with an experienced teammate to help Perez improve
    Toro Rosso
Buemi/Alguersuari - No problems with current combination.
    Lotus
Glock/Petrov - Not bothered about this team
    HRT
Karthikeyan/Liuzzi - Both drivers made their entrances, failed, made their comebacks, and are still failing
    Virgin
d'Ambrosio/Maldonado - This team needs pay drivers - and both of these drivers look rubbish

I wonder who would be WDC...

But Karthikeyan in a Ferrari lapping Schumi in a HRT - what an epic moment that would be

Or Rosberg? Never seen him in a winnable car.

But I would say Button too as he is epic in a great car (RB6)

    Lewis and Vettel in McLaren
    Alonso and Button in Ferrari
Kobayashi and Rosberg in Red Bull
    Massa and Webber in Renault

This would ensure a good race everytime

I think Button would be evenly matched with Alonso in the current Ferrari
