Out, obviously hes training the players too hard hence all the injuries. Hes way too negative, he plays players out of position, he always makes the subs 20 mins too late and we are awful to watch. I hope he does the decent thing and resigns, he is not the man to take us forward but it seems like we have invested too much in him.
The only person available that could possibly do better is 'Arry. If TF wants him he'll have to act quickly as he'll be off to the next Premiership job that becomes available. Waiting until Jan will be too late. I don't like getting rid of managers after only a few games, but is he really any better the Warnock? I don't think so....
Opinions divided right down the middle at the moment - very interesting Mr Bond. WBA are our bogey side - 1 win in 9 up there.
If they follow Hughes, they may be out of a job for a while. It may be more a question of which staff the new manager wants to keep. Not many if they're disgruntled, which will be disruptive and expensive
In (for now), but Mark Hughes (never again on my watch) must turn this losing tide quickly starting at WBA - at the current rate, not sure we can wait until Christmas, but Hughes has built a huge management team around this "project" and it would be suicidal to throw in the towel right now and dismantle everything for a new incoming team.
In - but the board need to give him a massive bollocking and and ultimatum of a points tally by end of Nov. If this was another of their business ventures bet they'd have the CEO and managers in as soon as possible.
The inevitable will happen and MH and his tribe will be out with just as fat a pay cheque as when they left Man City. TF has his feelers out in just the same way he didn't fancy NW when he took over. TF is going to have to take a dent to his pride but no brainer that he will fire Hughes as he is simply not up to the job and the players dont like him. By the way much is made of the sackings, the problem wasn't that, it was the hirings. Apart from Di Canio who left of his own accord, which of the managers would you have wanted to keep? Magilton,Hart,Gregory,Sousa - Go on, which one were the Goons wrong to fire, they were wrong to hire but not fire. And again, Hughes was the wrong man to hire but not to fire. OUT, but beware what comes in.
I agree. 4-2-3-1 or some variation of it. But then if we fail to win a home game with that formation, the manager is lamabsted for not playing 2 up front and being 'more positive'. With the amount of quality(?) midfielders we have and the lack of decent strikers (or in form ones), this formation is made for us.
I voted IN. I am patient and I sincerely believe we will improve sooner rather than later. I hope that will be the case. If no improvement by the end of October, then my opinion may have changed.
Out, and here's a help with the transport back home: http://www.transportdirect.info/Web2/JourneyPlanning/JourneyDetails.aspx?cacheparam=1 In all seriousness it will be very hard to get rid of Hughes as he will, and has to, fight to stay as he can hardly afford another negative managerial episode. Fail again with us and after the Fulham and City fiascos he will be tainted goods in the managerial market here in the UK. His fear of failure was evident in his tactics and team selection yesterday. He probably thought it was a good idea to try and not lose but in reality of course it increased the probability of doing so. Not rocket science.
Let's bring back our dear Luigi? - he saved Genoa's bacon very late last season (they finished 17th, Lecce 18th and took the drop, and scandal, so good move for him - currently 9th in Serie A). please log in to view this image His wiki entry:- "He was sacked on May 22, 2011 as Lecce finished 17th at the end of the 2010-11 season. On April 22, 2012 he was hired again as Genoa head coach, in a desperate attempt to save the team from relegation." Personal information Date of birth (1957-09-26) September 26, 1957 (age 55) Playing position Manager (former full back) - just what we need! Hopefully Luigi was not tainted by this scandal from his time at Lecce:- Lecce FC (wiki entry) - "Currently it plays in the Italian Lega Pro Prima Divisione after the relegation from Serie A in the 2011-12 season to Serie B and the sentence of the Federal Court of Justice that excluded the team from the Serie B and relegated to the lower division, due of its involvement in Scommessopoli scandal."
In. For the above reasons. An unbelievable injury list to defenders hasn't helped - but this team has clicked for at least part of all our matches and will come good.
LDC wasn't the best of managers but I genuinely liked the guy, loved his cavalier approach and his optimism. I was gutted when he left
In. Too soon to be calling for a new manager but i hope Hughes turns things around and quick. No matter what we say on here it will be down to how much patience the chairman has and he cant be happy at the moment no matter what hes tweeting.
