Thank you RTID. Wonderful OP which have created a most welcomed thread.

I'm so happy to be QPR at the moment, I just don't get all the negativity. Against Chelsea and Spurs we finally clicked together, it was poetry in motion. It's all about context, and in that respect we're all different. Fair play.

Bought FIFA 13 to my kid yesterday (will buy my own tomorrow ;)), to see the difference between this year and last years shambles without the correct kit, AMAZING! And don't get me started on the players, WHAT A SELECTION!

Have a great weekend each and everyone.

I will look for salad fingers SB however at mo I am 14 miles away from bar and reliable Wifi ... Storm coming tonight so I doubt if we will get electric
Still a gentle push back to city life via Albi over the weekend.
Doesn't look like my lads are going to West Ham Monday and want to meet up in Eastbourne so I will miss out I think on what could be our turning point and the start of a run

Mate, that is an equally great question. It sounds too trite to say 'the middle ground' so lets see if any football philosophers can come up with some suggestions. Really good observation. I suspect also that the sanctuary (what ever that means for you) gets less tranquil as the season progresses. I don't think I would have had the bottle to post that in April 2012!!

Bump. In the midst of the usual post loss hysteria, thought it was worth a revisit to the excellent OP from RTID.

It was a long drive back up the M40, but I'll save my comments on the match until Col's thread arrives.

Find Salad Fingers yet DT? I'm stockpiling rusty spoons.

No chance a mo but maybe a chance later ... having a month off has a awful downside ... it's takes another month to get back. I can't even use a computer, i have no idea what my log ins are,
Projects have all been forgotten and I now face a UK social calendar catch up which will involve me describing to people our break in France which i have no recollection of now and I have only been back since Sunday. I think I maybe dying as my brain is not functioning at all ... I am in real cold turkey trouble and have no holiday left on this account now ... I may have to walk out and roll a new set of dice

I'd say relax, but I know that is impossible. Facing a week in US from next Sunday, one day back then 10 days in India, missing Everton game. I appear to be physically collapsing, muscle spasms in back, creeping around like a wizened crone. All the time thinking I've got too much stuff, must be able to live more simply than this, somewhere I can walk out of the back door into a wilderness. It seems the crisis is upon me, I am drifting into the arena of the unwell....
At least you got time in the pub with your lads , pure value. First half was ugly last night but all the signs are there....

Without doubt the best thread that should be bumped after every match regardless of the result.... It is like a beacon of light that kills all the ****ters on here

Immediatitis sums it all up for me.

    .

My lads are suffering also as they all came over for a week Early Sep and miss France so much ... We have all decided to work towards going back to live full time again within 5 years.
You must see the full range on your travels? Has the UK gone mad?

Yep, but its also the future of everywhere else, which can be exciting in a scary sort of way - selfishness, ignorance, greed abound, identity all mixed up, but still loads of basic human decency about. Like one of JG Ballard's stories about social breakdown in a shopping mall or gated community. I'll end up somewhere in mid/north Italy or Northwest Spain though. Plenty to get irritated about in those places, but they have a much better sense of balance.
But London, as you always say its own country, has a huge gravitational pull.....

Thanks for the bump SB, I was not brave enough to do it myself!

So much has already been written and much spleen vented understandably.

We do have to pose the question: what would have happened if the back four last night had been Bosingwa, Nelsen, Anton and Fabio?

I think those that question the wingers have a sound argument. Adel made an immediate impact. Junior was not given enough time to get momentum going but still managed to skip past 2 or 3 players with relative ease.

I am as glum as anybody this morning but I guess I am looking at it as getting our bad run out of the way now. Things will improve but whether that is under MH or A.N.Other, I would not like to call just now.
