Ssn website.... Unhappy at being axed from side last week... Bets on where bent goes next? I'm going with QPR!! They are a big club after all... Remember money has nothing to do with it.... On another note... Hahahaha hahahaha
I reckon he'd fancy London , but who'd have him ? Not Spuds , Chelski or the Arse. Just leaves WHU (skint) or QPR (****e) . Liverpool would be my bet.
England striker Darren Bent says he expects to hold talks with Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert this week. Bent has been dropped from the Villa line-up last week, which came after he lost the captain's armband earlier last month. The former Tottenham and Sunderland front-man admits he is frustrated with how his season has started. "It's been a c***** couple of weeks, finding out I was no longer captain before the game (against Swansea)," said Bent. "Then to find out when I got here (for West Brom) that I wasn't playing - it was disappointing but at the same time, the lads played well and over the weeks we have been slowly getting better and better. "I can't remember the last time I was left out. I only found out when the gaffer read the team sheet out. I didn't know. It is frustrating and disappointing. "All I can keep doing is what I did against West Brom - to come on and try to notch goals and go from there." "I can't remember the last time I was left out. I only found out when the gaffer read the team sheet out... It is frustrating and disappointing." Darren Bent Quotes of the week Asked what Lambert had said about leaving him out, Bent replied: "Nothing. I've not spoken to the manager at all about why he left me out. I'm sure we'll probably speak next week. "You are always frustrated when you are not playing games, and the way I found out I wasn't playing." Wake-up call Bent acknowledged being dropped could have been the wake-up call he needed. He said: "Maybe. Strikers are always judged on scoring goals and, getting the one against Southampton last week, I thought I could build on that. But it just wasn't meant to be. "Hopefully I'll score more goals now. I'm always a confident character and, if I get the chance, I'll score the goals." Hodgson was at Villa Park to witness Bent's equaliser. "I didn't know he was here but hopefully the goal will give me a boost and I'll be in his plans," Bent said. "I feel I'm going in the right direction as far as goals are concerned. "I just wanted to get on the pitch and show I can score goals if given the chances." http://www1.skysports.com/football/...wants-to-hold-talks-with-manager-Paul-Lambert
bent will probably score more goals than fletcher over the next few seasons, but i wouldn't swap them for anything now, fletcher offers us so much more. sorry darren, but it's time to lie in that bed you made.
If we were to buy him back, technically Villa would have to give us money due to not fully paying the £24 million yet...
I'm not convinced Bent will outscore Fletcher over the next few years at all, but regardless, all round Fletch is a way better footballer. They'd be a good partnership, were it not for the fact Bent spits his dummy out with a partner who's not inferior to him.
Bent's averaged 13 and a bit goals a season over his career, no all in the top flight. IS he superior to Flecher? Is Fletcher (currently averaging around 9 a season), not capable of passing that given he has 3 years on Bent, and 5 in 4 in his first season in a decent side?
Fletcher a far, far better footballer Mushy and so far, a better goals per game striker for us too. He cost less and come to us younger as well. Fletcher is a good targetman and brings others into the game; isnt selfish as a person and doesnt need it all to be about him. I get the feeling that although he loves to score goals, he would be equally happy for others to get the limelight so long as he played well and we won. Darren Bent is all about whats good for Darren Bent, which is why he left us, Spurs, Ipswich, Charlton and now will leave Villa, all in the last 7 seasons. 5 different clubs in 7 years? Selfish greedy twat. Would I take him back to play alongside Fletcher? Too ****ing right I would. Lol
I'd say whereas Bent saw us as a good move at the time for his career, Fletcher sees us as a great club for him, and that's a big difference. Yes, it's early, but Fletcher has a consistent goals record, he'll have dry spells of course, but there is nothing to suggest the lad wont continue to score regularly for us over the years. I can see Fletch hanging around for the best years of his career, and joining the 100 goals club for us, I really can.
Actually, 'at this rate' it would be May 2014... Tell you what though, getting back to the original article, and the fact Villa still owe us a packet for the lad.... Fletch-Bent AJ-Catts-Gardner-Seb Rose-JOS-Cuellar-Bardo Mig. Aye, that works for me like.
Maybe October 2014 if he has a couple of games without a goal. Got to be realistic Mushy? Lol You know who he probably wont score against dont you? Sods law. Bent was ****e in the derby games too. Lol
To be fair Cest, Bent scored in 1 derby, played in only 2. The fact we were 5 down at the time meant that none of us really gave a **** like, I was to busy trying to ignore the mob of Mags behind me (as one of the 4 or summat still there) to register the goal, ha.
