Good, sensible step in my opinion. Gaz will have the respect of the dressing room and is the right guy for the short term. In the Trust we trust!
I think Gaz is going to move the home dugout to the home end to get an educated opinion on subs and tactics and little white mints
Bloody hell give the guy more than one game. Remember he has the same sh*t team that Waddock put together!
There lies my problem. I'm not convinced this squad of players is that bad in this particular league. Johnson and Doc at the back are sound at this level. Even Foster has coped fine in Lge2. Spring came with a good rep from Orient, Lewis is more tHan capable as is Bloomers, Grant etc. Admittedly the forward line is new, but this is mostly by choice, with the exception of Beaver. Seems to me that they are lacking confidence and ideas, but thats just my opinion!
bull mccoy johnson doherty dunne grant lewis bloomfield spring wood kuffour this team should easily be good enough for league 2, not to mention foster, ainsworth, stewert, morais, mcclure, potentially taylor, basey and if he can be bothered, morgan i dont think that this is a bad team - i just think thier badly organised and (in some cases) lack passion
I've lost count of how mant times i said we need somone with experience and i wont change my mind even if we have a good run of results.A whole new outlook is needed from someone with no connections to the club.
If motivation doesn't work, how about fear. Every game each player gets marks out of 10 for effort and contribution to the effectiveness of the team. 8 or more gives them an immunity badge. 5, 6 or 7 gets them dropped for 1 week without pay, 4 or less and they are shot. An immunity badge protects them for 1 week against being shot. Could be interesting/necessary
jst a thought but how about this "As a new outlook only?" kuffour grant lewis bloomfield spring mccoy johnson doherty dunne Bull Wood The way we are playing it might work?? But on a more serious note Give Ainsworth and the trust a bit more time. After all we have got out of worse. CYB!!!
As Ainsworth said in his interview "The lads know I always give 100% on and off the pitch and I expect the same from them" I think (and hope) that's the polite way of saying "Pull your weight or **** off". I think that's the only way to go from here and once an example has been set the rest should get the message. The last thing we need is hollow threats.
I think when we are able some players need to come in on loan to give underperforming players a deserved kick up the bum.Why not say if they play badly they'll be dropped without pay and will need to get their heads down to get picked again when they'll start earning again? Probably illegal i know but it might work!
i think we'd have the PFA on the phone before you can say "overpaid waste of space". The thing is we have the players to get us out of this but they need leadership and organisation.
What I have heard from Gaz does give me some grounds of hope. He does appear to very intelligent and I hope for all our Wycombe souls he pulls it off!!!!!! Hey my end of cricket season blues is lifting!!!!
