Well for once the board is united.

We're not happy and something's got to give and pretty soon it will be Mr Hughes

Redknapp was alright with a decent Spurs team, what about when he takes a struggling team on...took a good southampton team down and out.

Just got back from the game, i was pretty heartbroken at half time. Credit to Oslo, we looked a lot better when Park/SWP came off. The former in particular i can't recall doing anything.
Definitely don't think it's time to sack Hughes just yet though. Give him WBA, then the 2 week break in which hopefully a few a players will return from injury. Then after everton + arsenal it might be time to have a look at things if performances haven't improved.

I don't have time to read through the various Hughes out threads and posts (apologies if that's not the case) but this club needs stability and bringing in a 65 year-old semi-retired barely literate manager is really not the way forward six games into the season. It was poor for 55 minutes today, no doubt about it and I can't defend Hughes at all as I normally do with either his team selection or his tactics, but Redknapp would at best delay our problems and almost certainly leave within a year or two.

Edit- also, would he want the job? He's an old man and I really doubt that he'd be easily lured by the prospect of managing QPR when he's got a probably very nice life helping out at Bournemouth and taking it easy.

Saints were already in the crap, and he nearly kept them up, do you not remember the way he set the team up to get the best out of crouch, which actually worked, as Crouch was scoring for fun, but was too late to save them.

Also, remember the great escape with portsmouth? everyone thought they were relegated as they were so far adrift yet they somehow survived.

You couldn't ask for a better manager to take on a struggling team, just a shame you ended up with Hughes!

This <ok>

Strange to see how our fans look so badly upon Bernie and Flav era but want managers out as soon as things start going badly.

QPR going all the way back to Alec Stock have done best with slightly eccentric managers. Gerry Francis, Holloway, Warnock being good examples.
For me that means Paulo de Canio is our man. On the edge and slightly nutty. The perfect fit to be a great QPR Manager. :emoticon-0105-wink:

I agree. Feeling really down but I still don't see sacking Hughes as the answer.

How the **** is Park our Captain??..No pace,no skill and not a winger!.Tarbs,Hoillet and even Diakite changes the game in minutes...why arnt they starting games??. As hard as they work,Hill and Onouha are in the wrong league. We miss Fabio and Bosingwa.I think Hughes should be given 4 games and then lets see. Shocking, worrying tactics today. Although, lets say Harry not interested,etc..who the **** do we get in??..Im off to bed

You have a manager that:

Picks the wrong squad

Doesn't get the best out of the team

Employs the wrong tactics

Has you playing with no defensive structure

Has 2 points from 6 games

Once a team is stuck down the bottom, low on confidence with talented players, but no fight, then the danger is relegation, so considering how long QPR were away from the premier league, there is no point in hoping things turn round, with a manager that isn't right for your club.

A confirmed fascist with a Mussolini tattoo as manager? Tony Fernandes would never permit that, thank god.

http://citiusaltiusportius.wordpress.com/2009/12/15/di-canio-sono-fascista-non-razzista/

Ho espresso i miei sentimenti.

Imaz, my tongue was slightly in my cheek. Paulo is probably a little too "eccentric"
Think we do need someone different to the obvious of "getting Harry in" though if i'm honest. We'd be making the same mistake as we have with so many of our players.
Someone who's career is going no where and see's QPR as someone to ease him towards the first steps into retirement.

Fair enough, no worries :)

I agree about 'Arry, his best days are behind him and we certainly don't need another manager with a questionable financial record after Hughes and associates.

Luigi De Canio was someone I had a lot of time for and if it has to be an Italian I'd take Ranieri over Hughes anyday. At least he can give an amusing interview unlike the miserable bastard we've got now.

Hughes has never retired as a player in his mind, there lies his problem as a manager.

Imaz - exactly an amusing interview is the most important quality of a good QPR manager.
My tongue isn't in my cheek about this, ok maybe a little.

But i think an amusing interviewer the sort of bloke that suits our eccentric club in West London

...... and whilst TF is writing out P45's he should give one to whoever thought a 3d program was a bright idea.
