On a stream they played Manchester United tonight and drew 0-0.

Wasn't a very attractive game to watch but Wickham and Ji started and both were awful, awful first touch and lost the ball countless times, were made to look bang average in a reserve game and Mon was there to watch. Hoping I just saw them on a bad day but Ryan Noble did more in 10 mins them they did in 90. They were lazy at times and looked like they thought they were above this level.

Still don't know whether Noble can hack it in the PL but the lad has something, after 30 seconds of coming on he was put through, good touch to turn his man and tested the keeper, more than Connor or Ji did.

Laing didn't put a foot wrong in defence and he try's to play it out from the back when he can. We have a few tidy midfielders but Billy Knott stood out for me tonight and linked the midfield to attack very well.

Don't know if anyone else saw it and agrees/disagrees?

    Yeah good read.

Glad to hear Knott is doing well. I'm also desperate for Noble to start finding the net for the first team but I suspect he's only gonna be League One or possibly Championship. Does anyone know how Rory Deakon is getting on?

From what I heard Wickham was showing some good touches, but apart from that it sounded like the defence were shooting...

Laing and Knott should come good in the next few years!!

Noble should possibly be given a chance in a cup game imo

Sorry Noble just isn't physically strong enough, Ji and Whickham are but they seem to be lacking in motivation(something Noble has also been accused of).

Noble is not a patch on Martin Waghorn(the last great white hope) and he is still finding his feet in the Championship.

He will end up at Carlisle or Hartlepool perhaps - I wish he was good enough, believe me - love to see local lads coming through.

Think you're probably right but there is obviously still a chance for him at the club or they would have released him this summer with Cook and Tounkara.

He impressed Mon in Korea, and I read in the papers yesterday he will be going on loan again, it's not all about strength these days so there's still a chance for him.
