with joe jacobson sidelined for up to 6 weeks, gt has moved swiftly to fill the gap. lee collins defender has signed on a months loan from barnsley. a shropshire lad born in telford. also we have a new striker on loan , sam winnall 21 yr old striker from wolves. both are known to gt when at hereford and it is understood both will be in tomorrows squad. that should give the rotties something to gnaw on. floreat salopia
Shame about JJ just after he got back into the starting XI - quite possible Collins will start I would imagine.
Collins was in the Hereford team that won promotion to League One under GT. The team that received much criticism for having many loanees-Collins being one.
mmmmm, these signings are not the best for this league, there are better players out there, but you have to pay the wages at the end of the day...and if you dont............
Common theme emerging (in this and other threads ) ...... ...you get what you pay for (unless you are Liverpool ) .......we ain't paying the money! No complaints ,just put it right by spending a bit of money on a key signing .... it will not break the bank or ruin our reputation for prudence .
Wait to see what happens with Swindon - they started with 4 strikers, brought another one off the bench and left Paul Benson off the whole game for good measure!
your right, for the crowds we get week in and week out we deserve a better playing stock, if we keep this low tempo up we will be loosing a lot of fan base and then the downward spiral begins, you can only take proud-ency so far...
