I doubt it'll be Sports Direct. That would mean Ashley would be giving money to himself in order to advertise on our shirts, losing any potential revenue from sponsors, particularly the money he received from Virgin. Since Newcastle cancelled the deal and not vice verse, I expect Newcastle have a better deal with another company lined up

Unless he was wiping out the money owed to him by the club.

I'd rather have Mrs. Miggins pie shop sponsor us than sports direct.

Surely to God it's not going to be sports direct? I've got an awful feeling that an Ashley car crash is approaching.

Yeah but in criminal fashion its not even brewed in the north east now let alone Newcastle, and we think Ashley is bad. Never touched it since they moved it away.

Not home shirts there isn't. Normally your home shirt is valid for 2 seasons. Away and third kits changing every season.

Well guessing no one uses that rule as our strip as been different every year for some time now and I'm sure every other team has been changing home strips every year aswell..

Don't know about other teams, but it is usually the case with us. It can depend on varying things like change of maker or sponsor. Just so happens we have had a different home kit since we got our last Adidas one in the championship. The puma deal I think was only a 1 year deal for our first season up then was extended. So we got a new kit last season, then the sponsor changed and therefore we got a new kit this season which would of been the same home kit next year had this new deal not happened.

Had a look and mostly all teams in the prem have changed home kits every season. Parents were kicking off at man u as its there 5th year in a row they've brought a new kit out. So I think every club will be doing it from now on to drive profits up.

Mentioned it on another thread but E.A. Sports have just used our ground on the front of one of the biggest world wide games, could be something in that potentially. Would be a great sponsor.

Although the doubter in me thinks Sports Direct, it does seem a bit unlikely. We may very well get a nice surprise because we are quite a sellable commodity after our recent upturn. He is well connected throughout the business world (strong links to Nike and Puma) and he might well be able to get something special for us.
