I don't know how many of you knew Tiger Boy as a poster on here. He didn't make many posts after joining, but I know there's a few on here who used to use the old OWS messageboard 5-10 years ago and will know him better as Boston Tiger Tom or as Tom Hopkins.

Unfortunately I've heard this evening that late last night he passed away at the age of 25 after falling from a boat at the Boston Motor Yacht club and drowning.

As well as the messageboard users, if there's anybody who's 25 (or recently turned 26) who went to Cott High he will have been in your year at school, through to I think it was Y9 when his family moved away.

EDIT: It seems he also used The Football Forum

It obviously won't be in the Blackpool one for printing deadline reasons, but for the next game it would need to be run by his family first as well. I know Tom used to come up to games when ever he could, which when I first knew him he was a kid fresh from school (might even have been at school still when he started posting on the messageboard) who could easily have said there were 'better' things to be spending his cash on. I also know his uncle is likely to be there, although personally I've not seen him for a while now. When I used to travel down on the Saturday morning for games there was another City fan on the train from Edinburgh so I spent a lot of time talking to him, and it was only after two years that the two of us realised the connection.

RIP Boston Tiger Tom, he was a right nutter on the old OWS but he was only 15 or 16 then. Loved his tigers and I'm stunned by this news this morning. Thoughts are with his family at this tragic time, sleep well little one

I saw this on his facebook page early this morning Rich. I remember him from the old OWS site when he was just a kid at school, he was a right little cheeky bugger lol. It's tragic that he's died so young, 25 is nothing. Rest in peace Tom
