late tackle with studs showing, technically a red card.

    Fletch is the man.

Roll on MOTD, have not seen or heard anything today, deliberately kept it that way.

Thought the sending off was harsh personally mate and changed the game. Larssons tackle was far worse and didn't even warrant a foul?

Howard Webb was absolutely shocking imo all afternoon towards both teams. Must have been 6 or 7 yellows and a red and it wasn't a dirty game.

A 1-0 win over a 10 man Wigan, that should have been 2 goals up at half time and we were outplayed most of the game, even when they had ten men, they looked dangerous in attack.
I feel we are running on a lot of good luck atm, Mig and our defence have been outstanding, as has fletch up front, but the rest have been very ordinary.
Just don't feel confident in our style of play, which is very boring to watch, as we get battered by all teams, hope things do improve though.

You might have a point there oz, maybe the players we have aren't suited to counter attacking football. Still we are doing okay for me just need to string a few wins together now.

All that matters is points on the board sometimes and you got those. Our luck wasn't in really and even without the sending off it could have gone either way.

Funnily enough we were saying at half time that we thought Webb was having a pretty good game - then he came out second half and gave us pelters.

Good luck for the rest of the season lads hope it starts to click for you.

Cheers mate, I guess MON's style is counter attacking football, but we as Sunderland fans are just not used to it, hopefully we either adapt, or change to an attacking team, with Sess, McLean, Larrson, Johnson all being given freedom to be more themselves.

I guess another way to look at this is that our defence is rock solid; our keeper different class this season and in Fletcher we have a superstar. We are unbeaten in 5 games; have 7 points and a plus 1 GD AND all this when we are playing ****e as you say.

Imagine how much better off we could be if we just start to play okay?
