Well, we both have tough games coming up. Yes being away to City is tougher being a home to United, but we both have tough games, and both of us will have the odds stacked against us.

    Then we're playing each other.

I don't know how to call this match. You guys look solid defensively, but seem to lack a bit of sting in attack. We have been mostly ****e, and played around 60 minutes of good football so far this season, and that's it.

Both sides seem to be off form, but getting results, yet the toon seem to be winning a bit more, due to our advantage in quality. No disrespect there, and I don't want arguments about that started. I think any rational Sunderland fan will admit we have a few more quality players than you do.

Anyway. I would want us to go for a win against your lads. I think you guys will score, as Fletcher is on fire, and we've had injury after injury in our defensive areas.

But I personally think we could win it, as I think we could keep you from scoring more than one goal, and we could find ourselves a couple. We've been pants for most of all our games, yet still found goals.

The two scores that stick out at me are -

Sunderland 1-0 Newcastle and Sunderland 1-2 Newcastle.

    Anyone else agree?

There really is no need to put that bit in, it achieves nothing. You're a bit thick sometimes. Personally I do actually agree but I know as well as you do that its gonna cause ****, as there is an argument for us having more quality.

Anyway, pretty pointless thread, everyone knows form etc goes out the window for these games. Personally think you'll draw at our place and win at sda, purely based on past results, you lot just seem to fare better and its made me a pessimist for all future derbies. Also, catts will be a big miss for this game imo, its the type of match he loves, I'm sure the lads gutted. Still, his own fault for being a moron.

No idea how it'll go, but our lot will fight all the way, unlike the surrender routine that Steve Bruce inspired. I suspect that it'll be the usual heated derby - a little short on class due to nerves, but no end of drama.

Probably 5-1 to us (Fletcher 5, Sh. Amoebi) but what do I know........?

I'm not looking forward to the derby and I don't fancy us at the moment. On the day anything can happen but it's like the too. Have a hoodoo over us. We need all our players to be on top of there game. Something that hasn't happened this season.

If anyone has a cold flu any other infectious disease can they please go and see Mr Ameobi the week before, either that kidnap him, break his legs or something anything to stop him playing against us.

Neither team have played well and I think both will be coming off defeats. If I was too say now id say an edgy 1-1 draw full of blood and guts. I just pray to god that Howard Webb is not ref.

if colback plays in centre mid tiote and cabaye or anita will have a field day and dominate us. O'Neill needs to move someone else there with a bit strength i.e Meyler or even Gardner. Colback is NOT A CENTRAL MIDFIELDER and will cost us dearly!!

Feel better than I did last year, we have a lot more quality going forward even if we aren't showing it at the moment, when Sess, AJ and McClean click we will be very difficult to deal with.

We will miss Catts though and I expect Tiote will run the midfield.

    Close game either way.

Colback is not a central midfielder? Can you tell me your reasoning?
