Steady Chesh, I used that argument a few months ago when Diouf joined, and Simon made it very clear he is as white as the driven snow and believes only people like that should play for LUFC

No, I wouldn't support Peter Sutcliffe if he were in our team. It's just more narrow-sighted, short-termist **** from our resident 'team, not club' merchants who think anything that's good for a fleeting moment is good for our future, whether the actual implications of that are beneficial or not.

If I could terminate El-Hadji Diouf's contract and send the **** packing, I'd do it with ****ing relish.

Bates has forced us into this corner of applauding a scum coward - a man who spits on other people, a truly disgusting and stupid habit, yet made light of by some Leeds fans - signed by a man who hates him, which is truly saddening, and estranges me from the club I love.

Don Revie would be spinning in his grave if he knew we'd signed and supported a player like this CUNT.

How would terminating his contract benefit us in the long term exactly?

I'm all for long term solutions, I'm just confused as to why Diouf is the subject to your views on the matter.

And I'm fairly certain we applaud him for the same reasons we applaud Becchio, and the same reasons we applauded Howson, Gradel, Snodgrass and Beckford - because they played well <ok>

And I'm not being sarcastic or trying to provoke you, I'm just curious.

Annoying geek off that American ****com, your lack of a counter-argument is noted. <ok>

Because it would work for the good of Leeds United's reputation and profile. At the moment, we look desperate as ****, with a manager going against his word to sign the lower-than-a-sewer-rat coward for our club. Some players will want to work for a manager like that, others won't... Jamie Mackie and others there at that incident, for instance.

I think much of the bumlicking revolving Diouf has been due to people's fixation with preserving 'Dirty Leeds' at any cost. As others have said, Rodolph Austin had won Player Of The Season for us before he even kicked a ball in a white shirt. I'm sure he's had a few good games (even though he cost us numerous goals earlier in the season), but Diouf is getting on, and I have extreme doubts he'll be consistent this season. See how he does when it's not a warm Saturday 3pm, and the Sky cameras aren't there, when we go to Bolton on Tuesday. When he's in adverse conditions, he's rarely succeeded throughout his career, and he's a mercenary of the lowest order.

When the 'he spits when he wants' chants etc. come out, we'll see the real reason some Leeds fans love the cringeworthily-and-needlessly-nicknamed 'Dioufy'.

Even the best and coolest people sometimes lose control and say things they regret in the heat of the moment. Granted that players like Jamie Mackie wouldn't be happy about Warnock going back on his word though. Personally I think it showed Warnock's character - he was prepared to look weak and desperate to people like you in order to sign a player he knew would strengthen us. Yes, we were desperate for a player like him, but Warnock could've easily turned around and refused to sign him. And to be perfectly honest, without Diouf, we'd be considerably worse off thus far. I concede the point that it's probably not helped our reputation, but let's be honest - unless he kills a fellow player in the dressing room, he's hardly going to prevent thousands of players from wanting to join us.

I don't think people want to preserve 'dirty leeds', rather have a team that are prepared for a bit of a fight. Don't get me wrong, the side we had under Grayson in 2010/2011 was very good, but you can't deny we lacked that fight and gritty determination to grind out results away from home in cold December. Obviously our problem is we've swung too far in that direction, but the point I'm making still applies.

Back on Diouf, we'll see about his consistency. There's no denying we need more depth in the squad, if only just in case Diouf DOES have a drop in form. Personally, I think he's a fighter - which is why he's always come back from his adverse conditions to prove that, on the pitch, he's not actually that bad a player.

When I'm at a game, and the white mist descends so to speak, I'll probably sit on my distaste for Diouf. But when the cringeworthy songs come out to glorify his ****erishness, I certainly won't be participating. When people sang Kisnorbo was 'hard as ****' and 'would brek yer ****in' knees', it was obviously a thing to celebrate - he was firm but fair. Same with Rodolph Austin. I just think this man is a whole other level of ****, and I think time will show that. A man like you can never change, as Javert once said.

    Fair points though.

At least I admit I'm an arsehole, state my reasons for not being sensitive about a disaster that Man U built their hateable domination on, and aren't a coward about it. I'm not using two accounts to make me look any more right.

Having told a joke in song form about human tragedy that pretty much every other person in the world will have laughed at similar when it was Michael Jackson/9-11/Tsunami/whatever, I don't think that's relatively worse than gobbing on a child and numerous other players and fans, and inflicting physical discomfort on them. Sticks and stones. Physicality is where real moral borders are crossed in life, not with fleeting words.

You should have chosen another "cold" month as we picked up a fantastic 3-2 win at Burnley (great fight and determination shown to come back from 2-0 down) and a 2-2 draw at Leicester. I was certainly very pleased with our away form over the winter months that season, apart from 2 very poor displays in Wales, although it has to be said against quality opposition.

I wouldn't really participate in the songs either for the same reason; I just think they're a tad cringeworthy to be honest. And I can't argue against your opinion on Diouf. His record shows exactly why people like yourself think he is a ****. And chances are, he will probably end up losing his cool and let us all down. But as it stands, he's now a Leeds player (and a bloody good one at that, based on performances thus far) so I will give him the benefit of the doubt and a fresh start. If/When he ****s everything up and drags our name through the dirt, I'll reconsider my position. But if he continues to do his talking on the football pitch he'll have no complaints from me. <ok>

Austin is just a beast. At that price, providing he maintains this level of performance, he must go down as one of our best pieces of business.

The thing is, like a number of professions, footballers are seen as role models, both in and out of work, and I don't want someone like Diouf representing Leeds United. Children who support Leeds United are right now being told they should admire someone who spits, dives and taunts fellow professionals with broken legs in work, and drink drives, starts fights in clubs and hits women outside of it. I see this as the bigger picture outside of simply playing football.

Austin represents "Dirty Leeds", not Diouf.
