Love tattoos. Have 9 myself. Latest was a couple weeks ago. Interlocking wedding rings on my left inner forearm. My tattooist is designing me a three quarter sleeve for my right arm. Getting a broken guitar neck down my spine.

Marcus like the idea of a broken Guitar neck.
I've already got full back piece Celtic standing stone with the tree of life at mid winner solstice working on sleeve just now lot of old school and Rockabilly stuff

I'm off to get laser removal done today on two of mine. Unfortunately tattoos have become fashionable and are no longer rebellious or anti establishment. Got some kanji done about 16 years ago relating to my martial arts now every ****er has them!!! So its going.
I don't get people who get their kids or girlfriends names done in Arabic or mandarin. Looks nice but if people believe Sandra or Tiffany can be translated into Hindi well good luck to them.
A little advisory for folks getting tattoos. It hurts a hell of a lot more getting them taken off than getting them on!!!

A lot of the yougun's at work have "modern tats".

What's that the I ask them, A design down your arm? Oh well, a lot of squiggles meaning absolutely sweet **** all.

Another tat bug bear is the Chinese writing bollocks. What's that say then pet?
Oh, it's my bairn's nyem in Chinky.
    Really?
    Aye.
How do you know, can you speak mandarin?
    What's that ya daft ****?
    Chinese language.
****ing hell, cannit even taaaaak England maaaan.

    ****ing grommets.

I have some on my right forearm. SAFC king of clubs, Maria, (big mistake), & an erbert.

All ****. Had them since I was sixteen.

I admire the artistry if it's good, just not a fan of the modern ****e.

Best tat artist I know is Ozzie's at Byker Bridge, top ****ing notch that bloke.

When they laser remove them, is it total, or does it leave a scar?

Not for me at all but its an individuals choice.

Don't have a problem personally with someone who does have them but they don't impress me at all.

There is a small chance of scarring I've been told but depends on your skin type. Todays my fourth session and hopefully my last tatts faded quite a bit now. Hope I don't need anymore £120 a pop!

Just because someone chooses to get a tattoo, it doesn't make them an idiot. I could argue that your comments are idiotic.

You don't have the right to call me stupid and say that I want people to look at me, up until a couple of years ago all mine where covered by tshirts. Each and everyone has a meaning I have one skull that represents death guarded by to Celtic hounds for protection which I got done when I was younger as I used to have constant nightmares about death and this stopped them. The Celtic Standing stone with the tree of life at mid winter solstice with Interwoven Celtic hounds is a symbol of rebirth which represents my marriage to my wife, and a change in my outlook on life. I'm getting two day of the dead skulls tattooed just now one female one male to represent me and my wife as soulmates and that our love is eternal. Now call that stupid.

i love em, i thinks steven fletchers are mint, ive just had the top of
my left arm totally covered with some japanese stuff, looks class!

i think everyone is entitled to there own opinion about tatts, but if you dont like them dont critisise other people for choosin to hav them.

but tatts are for life so if you are gonna get one think long and hard before you do so that there will not be any regrets.

    Not for me.

More disappointing though was when my daughter aged 19 at the time got a couple - they are both tucked away so you don't see them normally but still I wasn't best pleased. She knows I don't like them but I don't go on about it and hope that she doesn't get any more.

I don't think people should be able to get tats before they are 21 as I know that I knew bugger all before then. For people like Froggy who has clearly given them a lot of thought and feel that they are meaningful and play a part in his life then fair enough - for young uns who simply think they look good or want to copy their mates, then in my opinion they are just wrong.
