    Please hear me out.

Krul is a fantastic young keeper, and he's earned us so many points over the last season and a half or so. His shot stopping abilities are fantastic. His distribution is the only aspect to him that I find concerning.

Harper wont pull off the immense reaction saves Krul does, but I don't know about you lot, but I feel a lot more comfortable at the back with Harper in net.

He's not immense at anything but being consistent, and he's solid enough in every aspect.

He communicates with the back four better that Krul, his positioning and reading of the game are better, and he's better on the ball. For a 6ft bloke who's 37, he can challenge big players in the air, and makes some fantastic aerial challenges.

Should we play Krul straight away, once he's fit? Or should we let Harper stay while he's playing well? I personally think, with the games we have coming up, that we should let Harper stay in. He's not really put a foot wrong, and he's put in steady 7/8 out of 10 performances since he came back.

This is not really a decision I'd make because he's loyal, but I think his performances have been more than worthy. It says something when a player can be out for so long and play as well as he does.

I obviously wanna see Krul back in quite soon, as he's our future, and a fantastic keeper, but I think it's best not to rush him back and make him recover slowly.

I'd play Harper in the PL games and Krul in the Europa games.

Only one person will decide that, and I'll be happy with whatever he decides.

If Krul is fit he'll start.. You never know when you'll be besieged by the opposing shots and that's when you'll find yourself relieved Krul is out there... I remember for one his first season as a starter, the Liverpool game where he made several huge saves(against Torres and co.) and put us in a position to win. Not sure if Harper would've helped in that game.

For me i think if Krul is fully fit then he should come back in. I like to see the first 11 out on the pitch. Much though i like and respect Harps and think he has done well i think Krul has the edge now and is No.1. Its all a question of fitness though. If there is any doubt about Krul being fully fit then there is no point risking that fitness yet with Harps quality there to be used. If it is felt that Krul maybe needs a game to get back up to speed then wait and give him the Europa game first. Sure Pards and his coaches will weigh it up correctly.

Krul must play now, we've been bold with him and been repaid. No point in going backwards now.

Krul is our first choice goalkeeper for a reason and should return as soon as he is fully fit. It's great that we have such fantastic backup in Harper and that the team is therefore not hugely compromised when Krul is unavailable. I think Harps has been immense for us thus far, but when Krul is ready he needs to come back.

Krul is #1, Harps is the longest serving, and we're lucky to have such a good keeper in Elliot who had a blinder for us, as our #3.

Course he should, no reason whatsoever not to reclaim his spot.

In other news, Villas-Boas, what is he thinking? Hugo Lloris doesn't start for them in the league, and doesn't even get League Cup games?

But yes, Krul should start - We still concede when Krul's in goal, but generally its from a Krul save, rebounded and attacked by a 2nd striker (or a ****ing deflection...) Look at the 2 Harper conceded, hard saves, but I kept help but think Krul would at least parried them initially

Krul should start if fit. He's only going to improve by playing, whereas Harps is 37 and is in the twilight of his career.

Agree. Krul if fit, but it's nice to feel no need to rush him back.

Krul is the better keeper IMO but Harps is a very able deputy as is Elliott infact, nice to have good cover for GK but hopefully Krul will be ready ASAP, mainly as I can see him going on to become a leading appearance star for the club.

Has to be Krul for two reasons.

Firstly because he is better than Harper (simple as that).

And secondly as Harper is only likely to be around for this season, possibly one more at a stretch. It's simply not worth making Krul (who could be our keeper for the next 15 years) unhappy for the remainder of the season and risk him requesting a transfer. If that did happen he'd go at a cheaper price as other clubs would know he's unhappy.

No brainer of course he should be. He's our number 1 in number and ability.
