Morning all, This tweet gave me a good start to the morning .... Jason Comley ‏@TheGoleiro As it stands #LUFC have beaten more premiership sides than Norwich this season! This one didn't, however .... Duncan Castles ‏@DuncanCastles Auditors express 'significant doubt about [potential #LUFC investors GFH's] ability to continue as a going concern'. http://sulia.com/channel/soccer/f/476ca453-b0a9-4efe-a9ff-27e425d19df9/
Dear Santa/GFH, Please may we bring in Gradel and Beckford? Please can you also arrange for Uncle Ken to be swindled out of whatever money he makes from this deal, ideally by an opportunist conman pretending to sell timeshares in Monaco? Many thanks, The entire Leeds United fanbase
Morning all Will only be reading things sporadically here today, as I intend to play Fifa 13 for most of it! I'd love Gradel back, and I'd be happy to have Beckford too. As for my picture caption: And Bates left ER with a wallet full of cash and his most prized possession. The moron beating stick.
Very astute article here: http://mideastsoccer.blogspot.co.uk...r (The Turbulent World of Middle East Soccer) Whatever happens with GFH, they can't be worse at business than Bates. He has run down the club and alienated much of its fanbase, taking it into administration once, with the real possibility that it could have happened again this season. I’ve not got a problem with GFH trying to make money from the club. They must surely know that the best way of achieving this will be to get us back in the PL (and stay there) whilst getting crowd numbers back up to 35-40,000. If they can do this and then sell it on at a profit, good luck to them.

2020 But Bates never understood that you don't build a growing and profitable business by starving it of resources and alienating its customers. A smart businessman would recognise that investing in the team (not massively, just enough to bring in 4 or 5 quality players) would give us a great chance of getting back into the PL. Plus, by treating fans with respect and offering reasonably priced tickets, you're more likely to get big crowds back. Bates is a dinosaur in business terms. I can't see how anyone else could be worse than him.
Not all of us are bitter, personally I am glad he's on his way, people like Bates should be shot for holding a club back (Leeds included). We have been in the same boat so know what its like.
Agree, JWRF, I am as optimistic as anyone. Although - as we know nothing about the final owners - the main thing we can say in their favour at the moment is they are not KB. Not all foreign acquisitions go the way of Man C with wheelbarrows of cash lined up outside the managers office to assist him with transfer activity. Lets just pray statements like "I can't see how anyone else could be worse than him" don't come back to haunt us
btw, To be fair to Hull (and now we are about to become a Champions League contender again we can afford to be) their thread was really "congratulating" us on beating Everton, though some could not quite manage it - not about the takeover, it just got hijacked in that direction
Is that the same thread that's now transcended into post after post of fish puns? I don't think we're taking it that badly.
