Morning Peeps, Is today the day? GFH reported to their Stock Exchange yesterday, so surely its iminent??? Is Bates packing his bags??? Should we help him pack??? It is reported that Warnock WILL be dipping into the emergency loan market next week before the International break, with at least a forward coming in.... Thoughts? I think we should bring in a recognisable defensive midfielder too to sit in front of of back four. Today we want to hear your caption comments please log in to view this image

I see the Hull forum are already showing signs of jealousy that we might actually have a decent owner (looking at their congratulations thread). I have managed to refrain from posting on it, the topic always goes the route of: Insults >> brown padded envelopes >> more insults >> more claims of cheating >> claims of players diving >> DMD joins in and makes little sense >> DMD gets taken to pieces >> DMD tries to make it sound like he has got the better of you when he hasn't >> thread closed.
Morning all, I have a feeling that Warnock will be in the loan market and can see Derry arriving from QPR and Beckford coming home. Both are surplus to requirements and even though Derry was named in the 25 he wants first team football. Warnock now knows the deal is almost complete and can do his stuff with a view to signing them in January. fookoffbatesyourobbingbastard
Just read Norris is nearly ready to return, NW feels tomorrow's game could be just a few days too early for him. Hopefully after the break we might have a few niggling injuries cleared up and some new faces to select from.
aaah, back to the normal run of the mill rumours, loving it. Would you want Beckford back? I know I am split on this one. He's a great player when played in the right way, but very few teams seem to leave loads of space behind them for players like him to run into and be on goal. He and Becchio made a fantastic partnership when looking at the goals they scored. He scored the goal at Man U and the goal v Bristol Rovers to get us up. But he was also very wasteful of chances, stroppy and sulky. Would anyone like to see him and Max Gradel return to the club together to add all that flair and speed, despite their faults? I think on balance, I would.
Gradel yes, Beckford maybe - I felt SG had to structure the team to play a certain way to suit him - but maybe NW would manage it better.
Beckford is deffo going somewhere, as his agent pulled the plug on the Huddersfield deal, and it was the same day that the takeover was put in the public domain. 2+2= etc, but if not to us, we can expect him at one of our competitors. The season Beckford was at Everton, Moyes played him either as a lone striker or out wide, so not playing to his stregnths, but he still finished up as Everton's top scorer and he was on the bench mainly. Nobody has used him in his proper position yet, because he has pace and needs balls over the top or to feed off a target man. Yes he squandered loads of chances with us, but even though he had a poor strike ratio, he got plenty of goals because he was in the right place at the right time, and when he doesn't have time to think he's deadly. If he comes I hope Warnock knows how to use him, otherwise it will prove Leicester did the right thing by letting him go.
Beckford? Yes please. Derry? No thank you. We already have Brown & a couple of others. We don't need Derry back
In regards to Beckford I think the question should be what package is NW going to be given for players and wages, I think Beckford could be a luxury item that we cannot afford to take the risk on? I don't see NW being given an open cheque book, maybe 4-6 million if he is lucky with a wage structure of maybe 45k a week?? All guess work but I am basing it on 4 players averaging between £10k and possibly £15k a week. This all going back to Warnock saying he was 2-3 icing on the cake players short (prior to Snoddy leaving) and rumours that he had met the potential buyers telling them what he needed in his opinion to get the team promoted. £2.3m on wages, £4-6m on new players, meaning a maximum £8 investment into the team - Not a lot really when you could net yourself a £60m prize of premiership football.
