    Diving existed before 2 english sides fielded completely foreign sides dont get me wrong but it was nothing compared to what went on in continental europe and south america.

    The continentals accept diving as part of the game thats the difference. Do you ever get that annoying thing during a game where a player goes down and nothing is given yet.... if nobody touch him surely its a yellow card for diving?? If we clamped down on this then we might at least stop players diving around the box.

    The problem is deeper routed though, back in the grey days of football players were not protected by refs and broken legs often went unpunished. The dirty players of the 60s and 70s are to blame for the diving epidemic.
