Hey Duce, so are new films and documentries about the Titanic but people still go to see them. The greatest resurrection in football,Doncaster Rovers, from bottom of the conference to the championship in ten years. When I tell people where I come from they always like to talk about the rise of the Rovers whoever they follow. I think that the story of Munich will always be made known to new generations of people. It has everything, youth, death, determination, sorrow and hope, it also gave rise to a hero in Harry Gregg - An ex Rovers keeper by the way.

I don't for the same reason.

I'd say Hull City's was a better resurrection to be honest, but anyway, the Munich story has already been told enough for me, people can read about it and tell their kids about it but I'm getting tired of it somewhat. Like the angry Stoke man said, there have been far greater disasters and injustices which aren't given ten seconds in the news.

What an angry young man! <yikes> <laugh>

Why do Stoke fans hate United anyway? I work with someone from Stoke and he says that all the fans he knows see United as their biggest rivals. Not sure why, the cities are 50 miles apart and the gulf in class is huge. I know Leeds is a similar distance, but Leeds were a big club at one point plus you've got the old Lancs/Yorks rivalry.

I expected this sort of vitriol from a Liverpool, Leeds or maybe City fan, but Stoke?

    Then you'd imagine incorrectly <ok>

Why get tired of it? You must be a very impatient man. It's focused on by the media once a year, if that makes you tired of it then you're being too sensitive. I dislike Liverpool Football Club, but I'm not tired of Hillsborough remembrance.

But also lesser disasters and injustices that are given more air-time. Do you rail against them as I've seen you complain frequently about Munich remembrance?

Jip Jaap Stam. Perhaps hatred comes from jealousy of continued success but I am about to disprove my own reasoning. When I was a youngster our local rivals were always Rotherham United followed by Barnsley and the two Sheffields, not that we played Wednesday or United much in those days. In recent years it is some Leeds fans who have been abusive, not all, and some of our fans may have reacted to that. Leeds were never our rivals in fact many of us, though not supporting them, wished them the best in the premier league and europe. Was it our deserved victory at Wembley that sparked this dislike or are other factors involved. These are questions that I don't know the answer to. Why are Manchester United so hated? Again no answer. They have built from nothing after WW2, invested well, and in recent years won much with good football. I like to see good football whoever it is played by. The same applies or applied to Liverpool and some teams in the south. This is a bit off topic but the only thing I can come up with is Jealousy but why should Leeds be jealous of Rovers?

It's the guy who played "James Cook" in series 3 and 4 of "Skins" on E4. Goes by the name of Jack O'Connell, probably one of the finest young acting talents this country has produced in a very long time.

Somebody gave an idiot like you a job? What is this world coming to...

This was a very well made and "entertaining" drama. Although the content was, shall we say, sensitive, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend a watch to anyone who hasn't yet seen it.

Cheers for that, i do not watch **** like that anyway, i prefer to watch programmes that engage my brain, like Dancing on Ice & Britains Got Talent, where i have to work out(with my brain), which is worth my vote.

These game shows like The Weakest Link, University Challenge & Who wants to be a Millionaire etc, do not interest me, as a man with my intellect allready know the answers.

So therefore i use my intellect to decide which of said programmes would be a worthy winner.

Not sure what patience has to do with anything, it's just got cliched and beyond the point of worn out to me now. My opinion, probably not shared but there you have it.

Well yes but this is a football forum so you probably don't see me discussing it much.

And frequently complaining? Really? I think that's a gross overstatement.

I thought it was the other way round - Donny fans getting ahead of themselves and the rush of power leading to all manner of silly bragging: "we're better than Leeds", "how's League One treating you?", "we beat you at Wembley!", "we're the Arsenal of the Championship", "top team in Yorkshire", "best football outside the Premiership", etc. etc. And that was just the John Ryan. Honestly, I don't mind a bit of rivalry even with smaller Yorkshire teams, though I'd rather Donny return to a lower level because they strike me as a plastic club, but I don't feel any sort of satisfaction when your team gets a bad result. I'm sure most Leeds fans feel the same way - the epitome of Donny fans for me came when I was queuing up for the bus back to Donny town centre after the game at the Keepmoat and the only topic of conversation between Rovers fans was not what the Leeds fans were talking about which was our exciting new striker Davide Somma and the great football match that had been served up, but how much they hate the "****ing Leeds scum", I guess being a town full of Leeds fans must be pretty debilitating, especially when you were playing at a higher level than us very recently.

Maybe I should have said intolerant. To get tired of something that should really have so little effect on you suggests that things bother you too easily.

But I've seen you mention Munich a good few times now. And I never go on the Leeds board, so it's not like I see you all the time is it? And yet on the few occasions I have encountered you, Munich has been discussed and invariably bemoaned by yourself.

See above. I've seen you mention Munich in some shape or form more than any Man United fan on here.

I did ask a question Duce and am not certain that you answered it. As for the Arsenal of the north that was a given to us by media folks. The great football match that had been served up takes two teams, I saw it on TV. Leeds scum, Rovers or any scum in footballing terms or any sport are not to be liked, though hate is a very strong word. You have had a very good season for your first at a higher level for some time. Due to a long, long injury list we have had a poor one. Next season as with this we will probably start in the championship and be at the same level. You had a shocker against Histon and a wonder match against Man U. I hope Man U win the champions league as I would for any team from GB.
