"Less consistency and strategy" is that possible? Hughes has had everything he's wanted now he's hanging onto the last refuges of lost and desperate souls "need time to gel" and "playing well and not getting results" His basic job is to make the team gel and get results. The players are responsible for playing well I've been open minded until now. But feel like I did around Christmas with Neil W. Progressively worse with no real light at the end of the tunnel.
Given that such a big investment has been made into players that MH wanted the owner really has little choice but to give him the scope to get things right. Bringing in anyone else at this stage would be a huge risk although I agree that if results do not improve before the end of the year action will be taken. I still think he can turn it round but its hard to ignore our defensive frailty and the fact that the manager did not see fit to bolster the defense despite the money being spent in the summer. If there is a rope to hang him by this is it.
Maybe. Or I might be thinking: Chelsea, Spurs, Man City - expected to lose all three, so one point gained Norwich away - always tricky so a point was fair enough Swansea at home - the only real shock/disappointment League cup - disappointing to go out and to perform poorly but not a top priority, perhaps The West Ham game could be the one that causes more problems for Hughes and co. if it goes badly. Clearly that really needs to be home win.
If I was Tony, I would be looking for the chunkiest golf club I could lay my hands on , and I would then lay into one of my planes, preferably that ****ing blue and white one.
i think we should give mh more time mind you i thought that about green and look how thats turned out(for the better)
If I was Tony, I'd carry on being an astute businessman who understands that business change takes time, that nothing is instant if it's worthwhile, and that all you can do in the short term is have a plan, make the changes at the speed you are able to and wait... Look, everything that has changed at Rangers since Mark & Tony got together is part of a long term plan. It is a sensible, achievable plan. Don't get spooked by short term results. We will stay up this year- which is all that matters - whilst continuing to build for the long term future. Harry Redknapp may be a lovely, personable bloke who can motivate people in the short term, but's that's all. He hasn't demonstrated the ability to build a team that performs in the long term at a higher level. Tony F has built an airline from scratch. Mark H understands what a long term successful club looks like from the inside. Support the club, the manager and the chairman. They're doing the right things. N
No, I'm with you on this. A loss on Monday will be first nail in coffin but I would give him until 10 games. Still plenty of time to put things right at that stage. Psychology is a problem. Need to get monkey off back of first win. A problem against a canny manager like Big Sam.
Ha I am! But I'd be a lot, lot richer if I were that one! I'd also be opening a dialogue with Harry, and other potential Managers to come in mid- November, if we are not moving away from the Red zone by then..
