I think the fact Mark Hughes hasnt won an away Premiership game since he has been in charge says it all. Give him 5 more games and then we will see but Im afraid Tony doesnt have the balls to sack him.
This is a fine sentiment until you look at how we performed against Swansea, Norwich and now Reading.
I told you weeks ago that MH was a fantastic player but a crap manager where ever he has gone....If you cant beat reading at home then you will be joining them back in the championship next season.......get rid now to save your season...or else...
I admire your optimism, the same as mine before we LOST to Swansea (for the first time at LR), DREW with Norwich (who have spent **** all) and now LOST to the fake hoops (everyones tip for the drop).
Ok, jury is out on MH but he'll have my support for now..only because he is our manager... but I think he is fast running out of time and support from the fans. If things dont change it will be no surprise to see him leave in Dec. I dont think TF will accept these results much longer than that. On the plus side, i hear COLIN might be looking for a new job soon....!!!
Much too early for Hughes to go. One win still leapfrogs us up a fair few places. Once the table has taken more shape - I suspect another 5 games or so - and if we are still languishing in the drop zone then TF will need to act to safeguard the millions invested.
If Hughes went, I don't know who I'd want, but they'd have to be able to do two things. One, win at home, and two, win away!
Get one of the three H's....... Harry, Hollins or hoddle.....and get rid of the H you have now and you will be safe....
I was at the match, and it was disappointing, but getting rid of Hughes 5 games into the season is a terrible idea. Don't we remember where we came from a few seasons back, the revolving door under Flavio? No one wants to go back there. By the way, Cisse was poor other than his goal, and Mackie looked worse than SWP. The swp knockers/cisse adorers need to have a rethink.
