Thought the acting was good and it brought back many memories of that time. I was a seventeen then and the country was in shock. When they eventually played the Wednesday ( I had been on their books ) some of the players, who lived in our village, said that there was no way they could have won the match as their hearts were not in it. The Busby babes were held in great esteem and the country lost some of the best young tallent in years. Did I enjoy the drama last night? No, but for me it was very well done.

The guy who played Charlton was great. A good portrayal I thought.

I watched and enjoyed it! I cannot, for the life of me, understand why Sandy Busby was upset by the portrayal of his father, I thought it was handled very sensitively

Seems an ironic point to make especially when you make it on a football forum.

Seems a stupid point to make especially when you make it on a football forum.

This is on general chat you tool, nothing to do with football( even though the original title was, if you get my drift)

Hi im a sunderland fan and i thought it was one of thebest things i have seen the bbc do in years i felt that mr busby jnr is just crying out for attention because if you read the artical he claims he was upset by the fact his dad was not wearing track suits during the thing

I whould like to just say all man u fans who saw it should be proud to watch it and support the club that got over just a horrible time

THe Mighty Huth Rocks you are a discrace to football fans it is such a big thing because the team was young and talented and wiped off this earth

Glad most of you thought the faction was good to great. The thing is that they were people and the emotions showed were the emotions ordinary folks share when things go wrong. We all react in different ways.

They didn't get paid much back in that day, they were probably weren't on much more wages than other people. I was reading recently about Ray Kennedy (ex-Arsenal & Liverpool) who has Parkinson's and had to sell all his caps, medals, shirts because he was struggling for money. That to me proves they weren't as well paid as you're making out. Kennedy won the league 6 times (5x Liverpool, 1x Arsenal) and Won 3 European cups (Champions League) with Liverpool. If a player that was virtually at the top of his profession couldn't afford to live without selling his belongings about 7 years after retiring then I'd suggest they weren't as well paid as you're making out here.

Also what's sad about the tragedy is the team was such a talented, young one. Who knows what they could've gone on to achieve, especially with Duncan Edwards in the team who by all accounts was as good, if not better, as George Best.
