Article from the Chronicle, where Pardew talks up the highly rated Davide Santon. For those of you who remeber there was a question of wheather Davide has a Geordie girlfriend at the moment, which Pardew seems to think is the case... GET IN DAVIDE

    http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2012/09/26/davide-santon-has-grown-up-now-alan-pardew-61634-31906897/

My question is would you rather have Jose still or are we happy with Davide?

Personally I'd much rather had Santon, looks to have the same pace and drive going forward a little weaker last season defensivley but Enrique was the same in his first season as were Colo and a few others. That is something he and the coaches have obviously been working on and I don't think it will be long before he is one of the very best in the league, while Jose is sitting on the bench behind Martin Kelly at Liverpool.

    Thoughts?

I was a big fan of Enrique, but I'm more than happy with Santon. He's shaping up very well and always puts a good shift in.

Plus we're in the top 6 now too.

    Well we soon will be.

For me, Santon. He's already one of the best in the league and is only going to get better

Enrique is yesterday's man. Santon is now and the future.

Would have made for some attacking wing play but alas Jose has gone.

Looking to the future though Enrique and Santon or Debuchy and Santon???

Well, hopefully in january, we need two defenders to move level up, debuchy would be perfect good fullback AND can play in midfield, then willo is ok till January but if we going to improve we need someone else

Enrique is probably better, defensively, right now, but Santon is improving at a much faster rate than Enrique did, and he's still really young.

Plus Santon is already better than Enrique in attack, and improving even more.

Santon is the far more valuable player, and the better prospect.

Disagree, Enrique has been pretty poor at Liverpool, nowhere near as good as Santon with us.

Absolutely love Santon <awe> He is only improving as well, probably the only player that hasn't had a bad game so far this season.

Kelly has picked up a nasty injury, so Enrique will get more starts on the back of that.
Would not swap Santon for Enrique, as Santon is going from strength to strength as he learns to adjust to the
Premiere League. Santon will only get better and his future potential is exciting.
whereas l feel we have already seen the best of Enrique.

Santon he's better at attacking and improving at the back. He's also not afraid to have a shot on goal.

Enrique is the better left back but that is to be expected as Santon is a right back really. Ideal world would be Jose left and Santon right. But I'm more than content with Santon at left back, he is so good and so versatile that Jose hasn't been overly missed.

Prefer Anita there if we're lacking Tiote. When Tiote's back, Anita and Tiote sitting and Cabaye just in front could potentially be epic (obviously would need to factor in Gutierrez, but with loads of games coming up, I don't it would be a case of 'dropping' players as opposed to squad rotation)

Also, its tough comparing Enrique and Santon due to their experience/age - a better question would be perhaps Santon now Vs Erique at that age....We all know who wins that one!
